SEGA has officially shared new details about its upcoming Little Akihabara pop-up shop, set to return to Los Angeles for a second year. The limited-time event will run from June 19 through July 19 at the Little Tokyo Mall in Downtown LA, offering fans a curated mix of merchandise, exclusive items, and themed experiences inspired by the company’s iconic franchises.

Following the success of last year’s activation, the 2026 edition aims to expand the experience with new collaborations and collectibles designed to attract both longtime fans and newcomers.

Pop-Up Returns With Exclusive Merchandise and Weekly Drops

At the heart of the Little Akihabara pop-up is a wide selection of SEGA merchandise, including plushies, apparel, and collectibles. This year’s lineup will feature exclusive weekly limited-edition graphic T-shirts, available only in-store and while supplies last.

These rotating drops are expected to drive repeat visits, as each week introduces a new design that won’t be restocked once sold out. The approach mirrors similar pop-up strategies used in Japan, where limited availability adds to the appeal for collectors.

In addition to apparel, SEGA is bringing a rare selection of plush toys to the U.S. market. The pop-up will include Japan-exclusive imports featuring Cororos and Labbies plushies—items typically unavailable outside Japan and difficult to find through standard retail channels.

Beyond merchandise, SEGA has partnered with local businesses in Little Tokyo to create themed menu items inspired by its popular games. Working in collaboration with the Little Tokyo Community Council, three participating shops will offer limited-time items tied to recognizable SEGA themes.

Mr. Ramen will serve the “Leblanc Curry Combo,” a nod to Persona 5, while Yoboseyo! Superette introduces the “Blue Blur Lemonade,” inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog. Meanwhile, Midori Matcha will offer “Amy’s Rose Swirl,” a soft-serve dessert referencing another beloved Sonic character.

These collaborations aim to create a more immersive experience, blending gaming culture with local food offerings and encouraging visitors to explore multiple locations within the area.

Punch Card Rewards Encourage Exploration

To further connect the event across different venues, SEGA is introducing a punch card system. Visitors can pick up a card at the pop-up and collect stamps by visiting all three partner businesses.

Once all locations have been completed, fans can return to the SEGA pop-up shop to redeem a free exclusive gift—a mini tote bag. This initiative not only rewards engagement but also supports local businesses by driving foot traffic throughout Little Tokyo.

The system adds a layer of interactivity to the event, turning a simple shopping experience into a city-wide activity.
