“Bus 447” is the first episode of Alert: Missing Persons Unit 2 Episode 1. A call about the disappearance of a whole city bus full of students on a field trip is received as the MPU moves into new premises with new chief Inspector Hollis Braun.
In order to aid in the hunt, the crew makes use of a father who attempted to halt the kidnapping, and Jason contacts an old colleague. This is what you overlooked!
The MPU team moves into a new office in headquarters at the start of the second season. Jason and Nikki meet their new boss, Inspector Hollis Braun (guest star Gil Bellows), who intends to maintain a careful watch on the squad, especially the erratic Jason Grant.
Wayne Pascal, a brilliant hacker with whom Jason collaborated in Afghanistan, comes in to assist with the case. Jason purposefully neglected to inform Nikki that Wayne was a woman—and a very attractive one!—which causes problems even as Nikki and Mike arrange to get married. Before it’s too late, the team searches for the missing or kidnapped and assists in reuniting them with their loved ones.
Recap
Some children use the public bus while on a field trip. Kayla is irritated that her father is chaperoning her and watching over her like a helicopter parent. However, before confronting him, her father alerts his daughter to the presence of a masked man carrying a gun on the bus. The man assaults the dad.
Early in the morning, Nikki, Jason, and Sid have their family video chat. While both parents see that Sid is probably not in her dorm room but rather at someone else’s and is dressed in a guy’s clothing for the night, Jason is making jokes about Mike getting to have his decorations all over Nikki’s new house.
Hollis presents himself to Nikki at work as the person taking over the division. He says he likes Nikki and how well they’re getting along, but he thinks Jason needs to get her act together and that Kemi needs to stop using her shamanism.
They proceed to the newly constructed headquarters, which needs to be tidy. A call on the missing bus was received. When Jason and Mike arrive at the crime scene, they discover that the video feed has been taken over by someone.
Along with the dumpster, they discover the helicopter father bloodied. While Nikki speaks with the father, Jay engages in his typical shenanigans to use his log-in to obtain information from a police officer. Neither the bus nor the passengers can be tracked.
The most likely culprit is the man who paid with cash without providing a picture. Hollis works with the victims’ families who have gone missing. Instead, Nikki creates a room where everyone can be together and receive updates as they happen.
Baxter, a child who had not gone on the field trip, was located. They talk to him in the hopes of getting information from him that will help them find or get in touch with any of the children. They follow Baxter to the finsta of Mr. Person’s daughter.
Nikki puts pressure on Jay to hire a hacker since Kemi wants someone to break into the cloud. Wayne will do it, he knows. Wayne is furious that Jay abandoned her in Afghanistan and failed to assist her while she was doing her sentence, even though she was hacking and supporting him.
