It’s also the final season of Miracle Workers, so this is also the series finale. So, as we ride into the sunset, thinking of the days of thunder that this comedy gave us, we are going to take a look back at what went down in the final episode.
The final episode combined a lot of aspects that make Miracle Workers the sort of thing that is Miracle Workers about pop culture references, physical comedy, strong performances, and lots of historical elements that make it a fun show to watch.
Miracle Workers Season 4 Episode 10 Recap
The finale kicks off in a homage to Risky Business, with Morris and Sid dancing in a shirt and sunglasses as though they were some sort of Tom Cruise. It’s a bit of a bachelor party, but in a twisted kind of way, as Morris eats every damn disgusting thing in the fridge, and Sid is revolted because of it, as the dude just wants to move on.
After Freya had that wild Mad Max-style demolition derby from that last episode, she returns to Boomtown and informs Sid she’s no longer leading the war dogs and is now ready to become a mom with him. Scraps does a funny thing and starts licking Sid.
Now, remember from that last episode where the Neuralnet AI had a chat with Tai about humanity? Well, that robot rouse is going to reduce Boomtown into just boom and ashes. Scraps keep a watchful eye on the advancing army, transmitting vital information to the residents of Boomtown. NeuralNet makes a chilling proclamation regarding the robots’ ambition to conquer the world.
Sid realizes the urgent need for John Christ, the renowned savior of humanity, who ventured into the future to quell the uprising of machines. On the other hand, Morris seems oddly accepting of embracing their new robot overlords.
Boomtown townsfolk want to fight tooth and nail against the machines. Freya and Sid free John Christ from captivity, and he comes up with a play to use a satellite to kill the robot army. Freya puts Linda, a cool character, into leading the resistance, and then Linda switches into murder the machine mode.
As the tension builds up and the machines are close, Sid goes berserk, Freya chops down robots’ heads with an axe, then grabs some automatic weapons. All while Neuralnet AI watches, Tai reassures that Freya will be destroyed.
Morris manages to get into Neuralnet and convinces Neuralnet that he’ll help Neuralnet in exchange for his life. Meanwhile, Tai and Freya fight violently. Tai uses a cannon to aim at Freya, but Linda takes the blow, sacrificing herself to spare Freya.
Sid remains in berserk mode, Freya grabs him and takes cover, and then Morris changes sides again and offers them and the Boomtown townsfolk some shelter. John manages to set up the satellite, but Neuralnet kills him. The satellite starts its work, and the robots die, and so does NeuralNet.
