The story revolves around the Alpha and Omega of the series, i.e., Ian and Yugeon, the two main characters of the story. However, how it differs from others is the slack nature compared to a lot of things that you see related to the genre.
The story is heartwarming and focuses more on the romance and high school aspect rather than the intense scenes. It is possible down the line, but that would be after the story has crossed a certain point. Most likely after the second season and third season at most, but then again, this story does a great job of telling a wholesome story that it doesn’t need it.

Merry Marbling Chapter 27 felt like a post-arc chapter. There was nothing major going on, and the main focus was on the character interaction and future events. Though it is a common story beat in all genres, it is worth noting that this rest period can be one of the finer moments in a series.
And when it comes to Ian and Yugeon, they, too, have a heartwarming time together. Yugeon wanted to be around Ian for some time after the last few chapter events. Ian humored him and let him be close to him as much as possible, for he liked being close to him too.
Yugeon joked about how both of them felt the same way and that their hearts were beating fast. Usually, Ian has some sort of comeback for whatever the bottom throws at him, but this time he went quiet. The two spent some more time together in silence and remained the way they were until daybreak came.

Merry Marbling Chapter 28 will be the start of the new set of events as the last chapters have set the plot points for the future. Although the plot points were not set by the main characters, they just got closer than before in their screen time. And those two won’t be going through those scenarios anytime soon as they have become passive in the plot. It was their seniors that have made a bet on them.
The bet is on whether or not one of the main characters is a good person at the heart of not. It makes sense that this would be the main focus between the two supporting characters that have made a bet, for the series’s main focus is on whether a person is good or not. Ian has gone through his arc and has redeemed himself, but Yugeon has yet to show his deeper secrets.
