Meant to Be, also known as The Fate of Heaven, is a new Korean drama that premiered on 17 April 2023. It is often confused with an old drama of the same name that came back in 2017 but is entirely different. It covers all that you can think and relate to on a daily basis: love, family, jealousy, power, and, most importantly, fate. This is a story of revenge, with multiple leads crossing paths now and then.
Be it love stories or families; nothing has a clear distinction in this drama as everything has been tossed and jumbled at the hands of fate. It has currently reached the genre of courtroom drama, too, with the latest episodes.
The trial has not only put our main lead, I have, into a difficult position but the viewers too, who are eagerly waiting to know what happens next. If you are keen to get insights into updates of Meant to Be Episode 60, here it is!
Meant To Be Plot Synopsis
Two girls Hae In/ Yoon Sol and Kang Se Na, share a lot in common. Their love, workplace, interests, and even fathers, maybe? Chi Hwan is a money-driven person who has a cold heart. He has risen to power after suffering from extreme poverty and has witnessed his mother dying.
His sufferings made him the man he is today, wealthy, powerful, chairman of Shine Cosmetics, and also a ruthless human who can go to any extent to maintain his position. He is the adoptive father of Se Na, who is now spoilt and considers herself the only successor of Chi Hwan.
However, Se Na is the biological daughter of Yi Chang, who goes ahead to adopt Hae In, after she is lost to her real mother. Destiny decided to selectively swap father-daughter duos.
Chi Hwan and Yi Chang are polar opposites who raise their adoptive daughter just like a reflection of them. How will the story unfold when they get to know about reality, or will they forever embrace the darkness of this secret?
Meant To Be Episode 59 Recap
So far, Yoon Sol was at the funeral of her father, mourning his death when she was arrested for attempting to murder her parents. She is also framed for causing the fire, which led to the incident.
Jung Im is in the hospital, and none is left to mourn for Yi Chang. Chi Hwan is happy about this and leaves. Yoon Sol remembers the words of her late father when she is in prison, and she decides not to give up. Jin Woo also tags along to help her.
Despite trying hard, he does not get proof. In the courtroom, prosecutor Moon tries his best to prove Yoon Sol guilty. He even claims that she killed her father for the insurance money.
She opened the gas valves intentionally and fled after causing a fire that led to Yi Chang’s demise and Yoon Sol’s mother being hospitalized. He submits proof that Yoon Sol spiked the wine of her parents because it contained the same medication that Yoon Sol possessed.
In episode 59, the trial continues. Prosecutor Moon says that Yoon Sol will get 1.2 million dollars as an insurance claim, and this hefty amount lures her to kill her parents. Yoon Sol says that she won’t even do such a thing for a billion dollars. She loves her parents a lot.
Jin Woo then presents an anonymous, hateful post that Se Na posted about Yoon Sol. He claims that she is an important witness because she was present in the cabin and already hates the defender Yoon Sol.
The judge agrees and asks her to present as a witness in the next hearing. In between, we see Mok Chan feeling guilty for causing the accident as he leaves the gas valve. In the next hearing, Se Na admits that she created the post because she had a crush on Jin Woo, and Yoon Sol took him away.
She also claims that Yoon Sol loves him for his money and lavish life and wants to get rid of her mother. Yoon Sol closes her eyes, and she can figure out how the fire started and why Se Na is acting so suspiciously. In the next episode, Jin Woo will get proof that suggests Yoon Sol is not the arsonist. Mi Kang will tell Chi Hwan that Yoon Sol is his real daughter. Chi Hwan will be tense about what proof Jin Woo has secured.
