Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 3 sees a number of developments through the healing process of the gang. But Bishop was always there to disrupt it. Marcus had taken over the gang once again as the President as he believed he needs to bring peace among all the factions. While everyone has accepted his leadership, somewhere Bishop is still against it and now in Episode 3, he decided to say it out loud.
So as we take a look at the same, here we are breaking down the major events of Mayans Season 4 Episode 3. We will be looking at the intense confrontation between Bishop and Alvarez. The growing bond of Mayan factions in the form of EZ and Manny’s. Lastly, a quick look at the minor plots of the episode.
Mayans Season 4 Episode 3 Recap
In Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 3, Canche brought in a job for Mayans to take El Banquero’s accountant Randall across the border to Mexico. Accomplishing this mission may end up improving the relationship between the Mayans and El Banquero’s crew. EZ comes forward to pick up the job and hopes to complete it with his brother Angel. Manny pitches in to join as well as he knows the area.
Alvarez takes note of the Reyes brothers and Manny’s bonding. But Bishop disrupts the meeting. Upon confronting, he confesses that he hates Alvarez. This results in Alvarez asking him to give up his position as the Vice President. Alvarez decides to handle that position to EZ now. The leaders of other Mayan groups talk to Alvarez about how having Santa Padre is trouble. Alvarez believes EZ and Manny could be the future of Mayans.

Randall, El Banquero’s accountant later arrives in his SUV but brings in complications in the form of his son. The gang was already arguing about the luggage and now bringing a kid was dangerous. Still, at the end of the day, they agreed. The gang noticed pedophile vibes Randall gave. After reaching the border, the gang had to take shelter after hearing gunshots. The much-needed rest also lets them connect and open up to each other.
The episode closes with Angel waking up in the middle of the night. He finds Randall and his son missing. After looking around, he finds Randall trying to sexually abuse his son which leads Angel to shoot him.
Amidst all of this, Angel was struggling with the fact that he will be a father again soon. Coco calling him selfish further makes him worry. Meanwhile, EZ reunites with JJ and finds himself in a tense situation when JJ questions him about his escape from prison. We also get an update on Emily who is with her sister Erin and has left Galindo. We also see Adelita following a man in Mexico and it might have to do with her baby that is still alive.
Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 3 Review
Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 3 saw EZ trying to grow as a person after the near-death experience in this season’s premiere. It all began with him getting a dog after his brother pointed out that his place looks depressed. He further grew after coming into a circle with Manny and the same bond has continued to reflect in this episode.
Since the past seasons, we could have said that EZ might be a future leader and now he is stepping in the same shoes. Alvarez sees that in him but his very first mission going south may mess everything up for him. At this point, EZ may not understand why Angel shot Randall but we can clearly see where his impulse decision comes from.
Angel on his side is already haunted by the death of his baby and doesn’t know that his baby is alive. He is struggling with the thought that he has to be a parent again and watching Randall do that to his son was something that didn’t fit right with him.
Coming to Bishop, the gang has completely given up on him and we wonder his former allies will associate with him further. Not Hank for sure, as all he wants is back to the way it was. EZ on his side had not nodded towards Bishop’s plan to take out the other Mayans in the second episode and the third episode saw that EZ wants to grow as well, unlike Bishop/
Apart from all of this, the show also continues to sow seeds for a possible Mayans and Sons Of Anarchy War. Manny talked about Sons Of Anarchy member Happy Lowman killing Marus’ son. We didn’t get any update on what Terry is up to after coming across the Jacket Jess showed him but we are surely waiting for this arc.
