The last Love Island Australia Season 5 episode picks up with Abby storming away from Trent and Zac. So they’re under the impression that, basically, the entire villa is going to have their back. However, most of the villa is siding with Abby.
I clearly missed this portion of the date, but according to y’all, Zac did in fact, ask Abby about the Instagram followers. And she did not say that he is fame-hungry or he’s just here for a following. But him asking those questions gave her that impression.
So, she took an opinion and formed the perception of somebody based on her opinion. Zac, you’re used to that, aren’t you? But when it happens to you, is it a problem? Not too long ago, you did the same thing. You see how you see how it’s very off-putting when people do that.
So yeah, I side with Abby because, realistically, Abby didn’t go to these women and say, “Hey, this is what your man is saying about you, Ray”. No, the woman asked. Actually, I don’t remember if Savannah asked, but Lucinda definitely asked, and so Abby gave her opinion.
Episode Recap
Before diving into Love Island Australia Season 5 Episode 9, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. This is obviously the hot topic of the evening, and Nate accuses Lucinda of basically throwing Abby into the lion’s den. I mean, I think there was a better way, especially knowing who Zac is. At this point, Lucinda knows enough about Zac that Zac is going to make a situation bigger than it needs to be.
So, I think there was a better way to protect Abby before this thing blew up. And the way that she just let him storm over there, she didn’t stop him or anything. It kind of was given allowance. But I do not feel this falls on Lucinda. It is fully Zac who decided to act the way that he did. And so now Lucinda is deciding to confront him about his behavior.
There have been so many red flags when it comes to Zac, and if Lucinda has seen them and brushed them all aside, that is now her cross to bear, and nothing we can do about it. I mean, maybe she doesn’t see them as red flags, but to me, a lot has been concerning.
Even with this thing that’s happening right now, “the Fame thing”, she brought it up to Abby, saying, “Well, you know, he did kind of study me on my season”. Like, there are little things that she notices might be a concern, but she just glosses it over as if it’s not a big deal.
Zac And Trent Apologies
Lucinda was going to confront them, but they had already decided to apologize because of what Reid had said to them. Personally, I would want my partner to be a person who gives people the benefit of the doubt, I mean within reason, obviously. Or is able to listen to multiple perspectives on something and not just listen to the word of a man that he respects.
At the end of the day, they both took full accountability for their behavior, and they both adequately apologized. In my opinion, I thought it was a good apology. They apologized to Abby, and it was happy days for everyone involved. A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 9 of Love Island Australia Season 5 will be released and what will happen in it.
