Kyle Richards recently opened up about her decision to continue filming for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, admitting that she probably should have taken more time off.
Speaking on Amazon Live, the longest-tenured cast member of the show reflected on her experiences this season, answering fans’ questions and sharing her favorite fashion picks from Amazon.
These included stylish Aspen-inspired cowboy hats and luxurious coats at affordable prices. Her admission about her struggles this season wasn’t surprising to viewers who have been following the show.
Kyle’s decision to stay on the show despite feeling overwhelmed has been a topic of discussion for many fans. She revealed that the pressure and anxiety she faced were difficult to handle, especially when entering the group dynamic, which often felt like an ambush.
“I probably should’ve taken the season off, to be honest, but I didn’t, and I was not equipped to deal with walking into those settings and feeling like I was being ambushed every time,” she shared during the live session.
She explained how tough it was to be in the group, starting with a particularly difficult moment at Sutton’s party, which led to a heated conversation with Dorit Kemsley. Kyle admitted she even began questioning her friendships, feeling depressed at the time.
Kyle Shares Just Enough During Her Live Show
During the live stream, Kyle was candid about her relationship with the Kemsleys, particularly her communication with PK Kemsley. She clarified misunderstandings about her text conversations with him, stating that the discussions had been taken out of context.
She clarified that she had reached out to both PK and Dorit when their separation was first announced. “I had said that I had reached out to Dorit and PK – both of them – when they announced their separation, but no one seems to be mentioning that,” Kyle said.
She felt her actions were misunderstood, as her intention had been to be a good friend. “I told everybody that I sent both Dorit and PK a text when their separation was announced, and that’s what I thought a good friend would do.”
Another key topic discussed during her live session was her friendship with Dorit. Kyle admitted that their relationship had been strained, especially after a tense moment during the season. She felt Dorit had been unfairly harsh toward her, even when they had briefly reconciled.
However, Kyle hinted that there may be hope for a positive outcome. “I mean, I’m not supposed to give too much away, but yes, we’re in a much, much better place now,” she shared. Despite their temporary improvement, she noted that the show’s airing often reignites old tensions.
“Then the show airs, and you get mad again, and then we’ll have to do the reunion, and then it won’t be good again, so that part about being on reality television makes me sad,” she said.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills can still find hope for a happy resolution, as Kyle’s relationship with Dorit continues to evolve. New episodes air on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM on Bravo, and all episodes are available to stream on Peacock.
