Kim Zolciak’s financial troubles have become much more serious than what her fans first thought. Zolciak is working with the law firm Snider & Snider PC, and her lawyer, Rachel Snider, filed a lien against her former home, which had fallen into foreclosure.
According to a new report from In Touch Weekly, it has been revealed that several lawyers and other individuals have placed liens on the home that Zolciak once shared with her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann.
A lien is a legal claim against a property. In this situation, placing a lien is the method Zolciak’s lawyers are using to ensure they get paid for their work.
The In Touch Weekly report reveals that, as of October 2024, Zolciak owes Snider & Snider PC at least $55,143. Earlier this year, the law firm had already filed a separate lien against her for over $77,000.
Another law firm, led by a lawyer named David Beaudry, also placed a third lien on the house, demanding over $33,000 that Zolciak still owes. All of these liens are still in place, and the home was even taken off the foreclosure auction list in December 2024, though it had originally been set to be sold.
Zolciak and Biermann have been in the middle of a bitter divorce since early 2023. Initially, the couple called off their divorce but later decided to refile.
Since then, their divorce has become increasingly messy, with police being called to their home on multiple occasions before they eventually moved out in December. Zolciak also requested that Biermann undergo a drug test, accusing him of smoking marijuana.
The couple’s home has gone through foreclosure several times, with it eventually being listed for sale in a foreclosure auction. Despite owing over $166,000 in liens, Zolciak and Biermann have not been left with much money.
Zolciak’s Financial Struggles Deepen Amid Foreclosure and Legal Liens
In the past, Zolciak has pleaded with the bank to allow her to keep the proceeds from the sale of their home to support her children. She has argued that the money could help her family avoid financial struggles.
In previous court filings, Zolciak stated, “We strongly believe that the proceeds from its sale can help alleviate our financial difficulties and secure a stable future for our children. However, the impending threat of foreclosure is looming over us, and time is of the essence.”
Zolciak also expressed concern about the impact of their financial situation on her children. In an emotional statement, she added, “Kroy and I will face insurmountable financial hardships, and the most devastating consequence will be the impact on our children, who would be left homeless.”
While it is clear that Zolciak and Biermann are struggling financially, the situation remains complicated. With the house in foreclosure and the liens still in place, it is uncertain what the future holds for the couple and their family.
Fans of Zolciak may remember her from her time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where she became known for her lavish lifestyle, but now she is facing the harsh reality of her financial struggles. Whether or not Zolciak will be able to keep her home or recover from her financial troubles remains to be seen.
