Chen had trained for four months before joining the official lineup of EXO! At the age of nineteen, after being scouted by one of SM Entertainment’s company agents, he joined the company. Before his debut, he appeared alongside fellow Exo members Luhan, Tao, and Kai at the 2011 SBS Gayo Daejon. Ever since Chen debuted with EXO, he has been serving us with great vocals and has made an unremovable mark in the K-pop industry!
10. Baekhyun (EXO)
Chen is not the only EXO member who had a short training period! Baekhyun is the wonderful singer, songwriter, and actor from SM Entertainment’s phenomenal boy group EXO. Baekhyun was a very talented person from the beginning. Plus, he is also the leader of SM Entertainment’s super boy group SuperM. He had won a couple of local music shows and even knows how to play the piano. While he was studying for his entrance exams at Seoul Institute of Arts, he was scouted by an SM Entertainment agent and joined the company in the year 2011. Baekyun trained only for four months before joining the official lineup of EXO!
9. Hyuk (VIXX)
Hyuk had trained only for three months before appearing in Mnet’s survival show ‘MyDol’. After winning, MyDol Hyuk debuted with the six-membered boy group VIXX. He is a beyond amazing maknae, main dancer, and vocalist of the group. Hyuk has also been gaining popularity through his acting skills. He starred as the main lead in the K-drama Romance Special Law, The Special Law, Ga Do Ri’s Sushi Restaurant, and more.
8. Chenle (NCT)
Chenle is the main vocalist of NCT Dream and NCT U. He has been in the singing gig ever since he was a child performing for various shows and concerts in China. His popularity came far before he joined NCT. He was the youngest artist to perform at the Holen Hall Of Vienna, which he did when he was just nine years old. Not only that, by the age of 14, he had released three solo albums and hosted one solo concert in China. Fast forward to the age of 16, he moved to South Korea to join NCT. Looking at his experience, we see why Chenle did not have to wait long to debut in Korea. He trained only for two months under SM Entertainment.
7. Jiwoo (K.A.R.D)
Jeon Jiwoo is the R of K.A.R.D and is also the maknae, lead vocalist, and main dancer of the group. If that was not enough, she even knows how to rap. Although she did train for 5 years with FNC Entertainment, it took her just two months to join the official lineup of K.A.R.D when she joined DSP Media. Ever since the group debuted, Jiwoo has shown why DSP Media took a liking to her!
6. Ryeowook (Super Junior)
Ryeowook is one of the k-pop idols with the shortest training periods! He was first discovered through the CMB Youth ChinChin Festival in 2004, after which he signed a contract with SM Entertainment. During his trainee period, he particularly focused on his singing skills and showed an exceptional talent for playing the piano. And in just two months of the training period, he was added to the official lineup of Super Junior. Many people thought that he was also replacing a former trainee by making it to the Super Junior lineup.
5. Eunji (APINK)
Next up is the multi-talented APINK member Eunji. Not only is she an amazing singer, but she is also an awesome songwriter, actress, radio DJ, musical actress, and voice actress! Anyone who does not know her training period must think that she took a lot of time to master all of this. But they would be surprised to know it took Eunji only two months to finally join the last lineup of APINK to become one of the best main vocalists of K-pop!

4. Yura (Girl’s Day)
It looks like female K-pop idols have a knack for having short training periods, such as in the case of Girl’s Day’s Main rapper and visual Yura. Not only is Yura a really talented K-pop idol, but she is also known as a popular South Korean actress. Recently, she starred in Now We Are Breaking Up as Yang Eun Hee, Forecasting Love & Weather as Chae Yoo Jin, etc. Yura has been recorded to just train for a month before officially joining the lineup of Girl’s Day. She and fellow member Hyeri had replaced the former members Ji-in and Ji-sun. As per reports, many companies tried to scout her, and ultimately she joined Dream T Entertainment. However, she recently joined Awesome entertainment!
3. Yves (LOONA)
Next up is Yves, the ninth member of LOONA and the leader of its sub-unit LOONA/yyxy. While working towards her dream to become a K-pop idol like Wonder girls, Yves met Chuu at one of the academies she attended. Yves had debuted just thirty days after she joined the company. She started preparing for her debut on the upcoming F6iday after she passed her audition. Since she only trained for about only three weeks, she is one of the K-pop idols with the shortest training periods ever! Even her mom thought it was a scam because of how quickly she was able to debut. Bet her mom is really proud of her daughter now!
2. Park Yeeun
Second on the list of the k-pop idols with one of the shortest training periods ever is none other than the Wonder Girls member Yeeun. In 2007, Yeeun was introduced to the world as the fifth and final member of JYP Entertainment’s hit girl group Wonder Girls. This means she has been in the K-pop industry for about fifteen whole years now! After Wonder Girls had disbanded, she went on to become the first female artist to sign with Amoeba Culture in eleven years. Did you know that she had written the song Only You from TWICE’s extended play Signal?
1. Olivia Hye (LOONA)
Would you believe if someone told you that the talented Olivia Hye had trained just for a day? We would have thought that April fools day had come really quickly! Believe it or not, Olivia had actually trained only for a day before debuting with LOONA under Blockberry Creative. This makes her have the shortest training period out of all K-pop idols. Fun fact: Olivia attended Sun Shin Girls’ Highschool along with fellow LOONA member Choerry. As she had to keep her trainee status a secret, she and Choerry pretended not to know each other!
Although many people think that Olivia debuted the day after she joined Blockeberry Creative, that is totally wrong. She was just added to the final lineup of LOONA. And as pre-debut preparation is not counted as trainee days, Olivia Hye trained just for a day!
