Often abbreviated as H&A, Home and Away is quite a popular Australian soap opera. The show was created in 1988 and has been running ever since. But is the show ending after giving us countless stories?
The show is currently on its 36th season, but before this season aired, fans were worried about the possibility of its cancellation. After Neighbours – another popular show – ended recently, fans were feeling uncertain about the show’s renewal and wanted some official confirmation.
With the new season, viewers got the reassurance they needed. But was that reassurance short-lived? Home and Away will end with this latest season, it’s assumed, but as far as we know, the show won’t end this year. However, the 36th season of Home and Away will certainly end this year.
This question of the show’s cancellation arose when Adam Rowland, a star on the show, teased the soap’s potential ending with a certain death of a character.
Adam plays Remi in the show and says that there’s going to be a big crash that involves his character. He also added that after a collision like that, it’s highly unlikely for his character to be alive. It sounds terrifying for Remi, but is it certain that the show will end with the death of this character?
There’s no final revelation about the show’s end, but the season finale is all set to air this month. It’s safe to say that the show isn’t ending at the moment. However, Irish fans might be disappointed to know that the soap opera Home and Away won’t return to their screens until 8th January 2024. The show has wrapped up for the festive season and will be back next year in Ireland.
