What happened in Doona Season 1?
Won-jun, a young child, intends to move to Seoul to reduce his daily trip once his ailing sister is released from the hospital. Wearing his best friend’s hoodie because of the weather, he arrives at his new home and is met with a chilly reception by one of his housemates, a girl who has a penchant for pricey cigarettes.
He immediately goes to work, settling in and printing up tutoring fliers, but he keeps running into the girl, who appears to be irritated by him all the time. Won-jun eventually discovers that the girl is Doona from Dream Sweet, Su-Jin’s favorite band and his best buddy.
As a result, he also understands that on their first date, he tricked the girl by posing as someone he didn’t know by wearing Doona’s limited edition fan merchandise. The pop star is explained by the young freshman, but she doesn’t appear to want to believe him. Won-jun moves on with his life, unfazed by the incident, and meets up with Kim Jin-Ju, an old buddy who happens to be enrolled at the same college as him.
Won-jun, who used to have affection for her less than a year ago, is not, although he hides it effectively. She appears happy about their reunion. Eventually, one evening, the boy comes home to find Doona smoking in the front yard, as she usually does, but this time she has tears in her eyes.
Even worse, the girl eventually faints. Refreshed by his gentle manner, Doona begins to try to hang out with Won-jun after he helps her by taking her to the hospital and taking care of her. Won-jun is still attempting to avoid her since he is unsure of what to make of her attention. On the other hand, Doona continues to playfully flirt with the boy since she finds his response amusing.
As a result, the two eventually grow to be tentative friends. The two still have a strong romantic connection, nevertheless, even after Doona finds out that Won-jun still harbors feelings for Jin-ju, who is now a mutual friend. Even so, the two are still friends, even though they argue and fight from time to time.
Doona even gives Won-jun advice on how to approach Jin-ju. Along with Yun-Taek and Jung-Hoon, the other two housemates, the three also begin to hang out together. The alleged soulmate status of Jin-ju and Won-jun, who were once close friends, is still a source of conflict and drama.
The latter had no idea that Jin-ju’s familial situation had destroyed their chances of dating as youngsters. Similarly to this, Won-jun’s developing affection for his flatmate currently stands in the way of the two. Still, he’s always on the lookout for Doona’s confused pattern of pointless kisses and reserved demeanor. After Doona moves in with roommates Jin-ju and Choi I-ra—Won-jun’s erstwhile rivals—their co-ed eventually grows.
The two don’t become more than simply friends until Doona makes an unsuccessful attempt to pick up a guy at the club and eventually confides her sentiments to an envious Won-jun. However, Doona’s past reappears for her in the guise of Park In-wook, her manager, after the two embark on an impromptu vacation and develop their connection. The already difficult romance between the couple is about to take a wild ride.
