About I’m Quitting Heroing

Quantum is the author of the Japanese light novel series I’m Quitting Heroing: Next Gig Is at the Demon Queen’s Castle or also known as Yuusha, Yamemasu: Tsugi no Shokuba wa Maoujou. Whereas the series is illustrated by Hana Amano. The series ran from January to February 2017 on the user-generated website Kakuyomu. From December 2017 to October 2018 Fujimi Shobo published the series in three volumes. The manga adaptation for the series also began running in May 2018 with Nori Kazato’s art.

An anime adaptation for the series was announced in October 2021. EMT Squared studio is producing the anime series under the same name as the series whereas Hisashi Ishii directing the anime. The anime finally began airing on  April 5, 2022, and as of writing this article, there are a total of six episodes of I’m Quitting Heroing with the seventh episode releasing very soon.

Plot of Yuusha, Yamemasu: Tsugi no Shokuba wa Maoujou

As for the plot of the anime, it focuses on the protagonist willingly transported to the new world. When the world is infiltrated by Demon Queen Echidna and her forces, it’s up to the world’s strongest hero Leo Demonheart to defeat the world and save the world. However, after defeating the Demon Queen and saving the world, the people have started to fear him and think he might be the next one to be the Demon King. After being exiled from the world, Leo Demonheart approaches Echidna to get a new job which she violently rejects.

The forces of the Demon Queen, the elite four go behind her back and ask Leo to lend help in rebuilding the army of the Demon Queen. Leo helps the army get back on its feet with his powers and eventually encounters Echidna. Upon asking her why she invaded the human world her reason is unexpected. What will Leo do then?

I’m Quitting Heroing Episode Schedule

I’m Quitting Heroing began premiering on the 5th of April and the new episodes of the anime are scheduled to release weekly as mentioned before. As for the number of episodes in the anime, there is going to be a total of 12 episodes in the anime I’m Quitting Heroing.
