We finally see Lize’s true colors in the previous chapter when Cliff comes around just to instigate her. Well, the original book was just a typical love triangle with the female lead choosing the male lead to live happily ever after while the second male lead just suffered watching them from afar.
However, what is Lize’s goal is not Cliff but both him and Killian? We can tell that Lize will probably turn out to be one of those White Lotus protagonists who hide their dubious intentions from the world and act like a saint. In the previous chapter of I Thought It’s a Common Possession, Cliff comes to see Lize at night who looked pretty shaken up because of the news that Killian and Edith will be leaving for his territory soon. She obviously feels angry and jealous because Edith has been stealing away all of Killian’s attention lately.
Cliff can also pretty much see through her and the fact that she is jealous of Edith. He asks her why is she acting like that since he is there to shower her with affection instead. Lize tries to deny it but falters in the end, asking Cliff to have eyes for her and only her now and even in the future.
Edith is obviously happy to do so and Killian also looked enthusiastic for a change. He calls Anna and asks her to tell Mr. Samuel to get the yacht fixed up. Edith was also pretty happy with the result since she had never been on a yacht even in her previous life.
She had a really sad life so it makes sense that she lost out on a bunch of other things like receiving flowers or going on a yacht. Well, the day finally comes and Lize comes to greet Edith who was about to leave. She is all sweet and nice to her, complimenting her dress and saying how jealous she feels while laughing.
Edith felt like something was off with Lize but she shrugs it off and the date begins. The two were obviously having a ton of fun and Edith’s reactions were pretty cute. Even Killian was enjoying looking at her act so enthusiastic about their date and the two spend some good time together.
