Fox will be having yet another addition to its animated shows list, this time with Jon Hamm voicing a haggard but talented detective. Catlan McClelland and Matthew Schissel’s Grimsburg will be a 3-episode series featuring exciting characters and suspenseful mysteries.
Grimsburg’s storyline centers on Marvin Flute, a well-known detective who comes back to his hometown to deal with crimes that only he has the skill to solve. This also brings him back to his ex-wife, Harmony, and his son, Stan, whom he never got to chance to introduce himself to.
Gail Berman, the producer behind shows like Wednesday, is one of the executive producers for this animated series. Gail revealed that Grimsburg’s script made her want to take up the project no matter how many other shows she would be handling simultaneously.
Besides being a voice actor, Jon Hamm is an executive producer for the show, too. Marvin will be voiced by Hamm, while other characters like Harmony will be voiced by Erinn Hayes, Stan Flute by Rachel Dratch, Dr. Rufis Pentos by Alan Tudyk, and Det. Greg Summers by Kevin Michael Richardson.
About The Fox Show
The shady town of Greensburg has its fair share of crimes every year, but it’s only with the help of detectives like Marvin Flute that everything turns out well. Whether it’s tracking down a bloodthirsty cannibal clown or identifying ancient armoires, there’s nothing that Marvin isn’t experienced enough to solve.
He is much more than just an inspiration for other young detectives trying to get into an investigation, but when it comes to his family, Marvin happens to be the most clueless person ever. Flute and Harmony got married when they were young, believing that they would build a happy life in such a grim place.
However, as Marvin climbed higher in his career, he became just as detached from his family. He wasn’t even present at the birth of his son Stan, which just goes to show how disinterested he became in his family matters. This eventually led to Harmony and Marvin’s separation, and he then moved away to another place.
After things go bad in Grimsburg, the investigational department has no choice but to call Marvin Flute back into the town to help them deal with the high number of crimes. With a new perspective on life, Marvin returns to his hometown, hoping to get rid of the crimes while also figuring out what went wrong in his personal life.
Grimsburg is going to be filled with hilarious puns, dark comedy, and other exciting stuff that make the show worth watching. Each episode of this Fox series will have interesting new characters, puzzling crimes, and family problems to deal with.
