Tsundere is a Japanese term mostly used in anime or manga to describe someone who is cold, harsh, and very nitpicky. This is generally used for female characters, it shows the character development of someone who isn’t very socially healthy but turns kinder, softer, and warmer as the story progresses.
This new anime is based on the same theme as Tsundere but this time the girl herself is actually a Villainess. The story follows two Broadcasting club members, Aoto Endo, and Shihono Kobayashi. One day as they were getting bored they mutually agree on the fact of playing an otome game named “A Magical Romance”.
This game follows the thrills and adventures of a fighter, Fiene who gets romantically interested in her capture targets while fighting villainess, Lieselotte. She gets crushed under the burden of darkness and tragedy in the game’s progress.
Aoto follows the game wholeheartedly and has read almost all of the game’s supplements hence thinks that Lieselotte is nothing but misunderstood by everyone else. Aoto suggests that she is actually a Tsundere who has trouble expressing her feelings to others.
As they start playing they provide their own commentary and colors as Lieselotte’s fiance listens to whom Siegwald is forced to think that she might be misunderstood and isn’t as cold and harsh as she seems but is really warm in reality.
Due to the changing of the situations, the dark fate that was lingering on Lieselotte goes off and the story changes, a lot of things start to happen differently due to which the very fate of the “villainess” is changed once and forever.

Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte Episode 5 Recap: “Mother and Daughter, Sisters, and a First Date”
The fifth episode makes a point of revisiting Endo and Kobayashi’s interpersonal interactions outside of the Let’s Play humor, which fans might be even more interested in than the fictional video game element. As an additional perk, a major part of this one also manages to connect to the larger meta-magic plot in the game universe.
As a result, the program seems like more of the same once more, or certainly, as much as fans might have expected only after 4 setting segments. In this hour, there was a greater focus on examining and developing the friendship between the protagonist and the villainess.
That earlier outing is quickly corrected, with Endo and Kobayashi responding to events like Fiene’s long-lost mother appearing at the exact same moment as the in-game players. It needn’t be much, and in situations when we are receiving wordier explication, we certainly aren’t interested in an additional commentary track to muddle the events.
It appears that the show is still working on perfecting its fine line. Sieg was intended to be the conceptual figure connecting our two powerful players to the gaming universe. But except for reminding us of how successfully those kids changed him into something like a Wife Guy in the last several episodes, he hasn’t done anything.
But Liese’s response to Fiene’s situation sells how endearing she is to witness being a snooty master manipulator, in this case for noble intentions. She continues to function as the effectively marketable focal point of this program on the several levels that are currently in play among her personality and the duo’s understanding of it.
