Teaming up with Netflix, South Korean TV networks have released some amazing k-dramas to watch, with one of them being the 2019 k-drama Abyss. The sci-fi fantasy k-drama focuses on themes like reincarnation and second chances. One thing that the k-drama made very clear was that “Appearance is everything. Nothing else matters”. The story of ‘Abyss’ follows Go Se Yun, a tough, accomplished, and unrivaled beautiful woman. She worked in the Seoul District public Office as the prosecutor, and Cha Min, a smart and humble man. He was also the highly intelligent heir to Korea’s top cosmetics company.
Despite his success, he had his own demons to fight. Unaware of each other’s existence, both Go Se Yun and Cha Min get into an accident and tragically die. But the two are given a chance through soul-reviving marbles in a magical abyss. Reincarnating in the new life and unaware of their fate, they come together and start working as a lawyer and an administrator at a private law firm.
