After HBO made the fans suffer through the majority of 2023 for the House of Dragon Season 2 update, the network finally decided to show a glimpse of season 2 in the Brazilian event Comic Con Experience.
In the panel, HBO released news related to the upcoming season, and one of them was the most awaited teaser of the House of Dragon Season 2.
The teaser of the prequel series takes us back to Westeros to show what is going on with the Targaryens way before Daenerys came for the Iron Throne.
The series continued through the strikes.
House of Dragon is the only high-profile show that continued production even during the SAG-AFTRA strike. The show has British actors not represented by the same body as US actors, so they were not under this strike.
The popular show did not even take a huge toll when the WGA strike started because the writing of the episodes was completed.
But HBO gave us the idea that the show will not be released till 2024, as it is a massive show with detailed production. It is natural that the work has to be done for many months with an extended post-production.
Season 2 will have a different feel, and it will have 8 episodes, while season 1 has 10. New showrunner Ryan Condal said that the whole pace and vibe of the eight episodes will be slower.
In season 1, fans were awestruck to see that the story covered twenty years, and this time, fans can expect that this will not happen again.
Release date of season 2
House of Dragon Season 2 is set to release in 2023 summer. A specific date is yet to be revealed by the production house. Season 1 is available to stream on HBO.
Trailer Overview
Again, we will see Daemon Targaryen and Rhaenyra Targaryen, the queen, as they plot against one another to capture the domain of Westeros’ union after the thrilling events of the finale of season 1.
In the upcoming season in 2024, we will see other shady plots that the hot-headed Daemon will make to rage war.
On the other hand, Rhaenyra is handling the deaths in her life that have put her on the track to get to the throne.
Looking at the history of Game of Thrones, it is pretty evident that she has to fight her way hard to get the title she desires. Season 2 will certainly bring a lot of blood, dragons, and fire, which will make a lot of people burn.
