We traveled down the home stretch towards the Black Jacket round, and I gotta say that Episode 10 was pretty straightforward, and what I expected to happen most definitely happened.
I will simply share my thoughts on the important happenings throughout the episode. And I’ll give my thoughts on who will make it to the Black jacket round.
Episode 10 picks up following the elimination scene from the last episode. We see the red team coming together and hugging it out. But deep down, I think that Diane is the odd person out for the team, and this is because of her sudden regression as a chef on the show. And because she’s not really showing her teammates why they should view her as their equals.
Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 Episode 10 Recap
Before diving into Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 Episode 11, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. But we move on to the episode’s challenge. In this challenge, the chefs have to gather ingredients to make four pasta dishes by crossing a balance beam with marinara sauce under it. Now, the catch is that the team that finishes gathering their ingredients first went to a minute cooking advantage.
But challenges like this really don’t matter in the grand scheme of things if the ingredients that are chosen are not the best and the chefs on the winning team are not very strong when it comes to making their respective dishes.
This is pretty much what happened after the conclusion of the first part of this challenge. The blue team gathers their ingredients first, but the red team has chefs who are stronger when it comes to composing their pasta dishes. So the five-minute advantage really didn’t do the blue team any good because the final score of the face-off was Red Team 3 in Blue Team 1.
Now, I gotta say that I’m very proud of Dahmere for what he’s been able to accomplish since his first showing on the First Episode. But in order for me to put him in the Hells Kitchen finale for the season, I gotta see him cook more amazing food, and in my opinion, he’ll definitely be one of the people for the finale.
The dinner service for tonight’s episode was pretty bad, but it wasn’t the worst. Atoye served several raw items, but then she was able to regain her composure. But Jason also allows this overconfidence to screw over the team once again, and it seems like every time I think that Jason has turned over a new leaf, he goes back into self-sabotage mode, and the team pays for it.
But on the Red team, we have Donya serving undercooked or overcooked food, and we have Carmen screwing up the food at her station. When the dinner service is over, it’s Leigh and Dahmere, whom Gordon praises as the only two chefs who had a voice in the kitchen that night. And he gives them the power to decide which teammates get nominated for elimination.
We all know that Dahmere has leadership skills, and his admission into the black jacket round is all but guaranteed at this point. A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 11 of Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 will be released and what will happen in it.
