Catherine Tate and Joe Morton have a new project. They will be part of the cast for Going Dutch. According to Deadline, this upcoming comedy show will focus on Colonel Patrick Quinn, played by Denis Leary. Colonel Quinn is a decorated officer who will be moved to a quiet base on the other side of the world after giving an offensive and unfiltered speech.
Besides acting in the show, Leary will also be an executive producer for Going Dutch. FOX Entertainment will produce the series. The show will center around Quinn’s methods to bring military discipline to a base that prefers leisure activities.
Joe Morton and Catherine Tate have been involved in interesting projects before joining Going Dutch. Tate recently returned as Donna Noble in special episodes of Doctor Who. These episodes celebrated six decades of the show entertaining fans worldwide.
Morton was seen recently as Silas Stone in the DC Extended Universe. His character tries to save his son’s life through a process that eventually turns him into Cyborg, played by Ray Fisher. Both Tate and Morton are ready to showcase their comedic skills in Going Dutch.
In Going Dutch, Joe Morton will play General Davidson, who has a long-standing rivalry with Colonel Patrick Quinn, played by Leary. The tension between them will increase as Davidson gains more power because he never says no. Meanwhile, Quinn will face consequences for defending his controversial beliefs.
Tate will play Katja Vanderhoff, a charming woman with a PhD in intersectional feminism. Vanderhoff is also the head of the city’s Chamber of Commerce and the owner of a brothel. The show will include many talented comedic actors. Danny Pudi, Laci Mosely, Hal Cumpston, and Dempsey Bryk will also be in the series.
Pudi is well-known for his role as Abed Nadir in Community, and he will return to this role in the upcoming movie. Taylor Misiak will play Captain Maggie Quinn, who is revealed to be Colonel Patrick Quinn’s estranged daughter.
