The show centers on a paranormal reality television program that Discovery Plus has ordered. We see some of the ghost hunters early on, including Aaron Goodwin and Zak Bagans. They are called to the haunted locales and look into the situation as a whole.
The program was originally intended to be released as an independent film with a documentary-style format. The hunters attempt to gather any possible visual or audio evidence that may be present at the scene of such paranormal activity. At first, they are taking the owners or caregivers on tours of these investigative sites. Based on the owner interviews, the team tapes off the places that are designated as X.
They return later in the evening, when the paranormal activity is at its peak, and install a few static night vision cameras to record the actual events that were taking place there. A little while later, we witness them discussing the hunt’s tactics.
The group is well-equipped with high-quality tools, including electromagnetic field meters. The participants also set up a few trigger items that could frighten ghosts or spirits. They also set up a few auditory cues that the ghosts might react to.

The group goes to King Gillette Ranch, a large ranch situated on holy ground. This is the GAC’s most extensive examination yet because of its dark past and its brief encounter with a cult, which have given rise to aggressive spirit activity that saps the life force from the living.

To look into a brewery that is experiencing eerie and unsettling paranormal activity, Zak and the team are dispatched to Tempe, Arizona. As the gang delves into the massive factory’s turbulent past, they find themselves in the crosshairs of opposing forces.
Zak and the group arrive in a park in Southern California to look into a preschool that has been plagued by horrific deaths and tragedies. The team’s goal is to find out if this former farmhouse has been cursed with a dark past due to an old tribal myth of revenge.
Zak visits Sutro, Nevada, a historic and peculiarly haunted town, along with the group and investigates the eerie surroundings. An old mine shaft is the source of the colony’s eerie atmosphere, the crew begins to think, along with an abandoned village, inexplicable fires, and a rising number of dead bodies.
An aggressive presence at an abandoned property off the shore of Utah’s Great Salt Lake presented Zak and the team with challenges in the form of severe winter snow. A shadow is cast over the lads’ investigation by untended graves and stories of a curse as they search for the enigmatic, unseen force.
Zak takes the group to Death Valley in California to look into a huge, mysterious establishment. Exploring the desert villa’s heavily damaged grounds from fire and flooding, the boys are drawn in by the weird, menacing atmosphere. Who or what is causing this depressing atmosphere?
