In the previous chapter of Fell Into the Arms of a Mad Villain, Lina opens her eyes in the morning to find Edwin sitting at her bed’s side, watching her sleep. This sight greatly alarms Lina, who screams out of shock, and Edwin seems to remain calm despite Lina’s reaction.

Lina asks Edwin why he is sitting beside her, and he reminds her of the promise he had made the day prior. He also mentions that Lina was his bride, so he wanted to be by her side all the time.
