Elden Ring has sold an estimated 2 million additional copies across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox in 2026, generating nearly $110 million in revenue, according to market estimates from Alinea Analytics. The continued sales momentum highlights the longevity of FromSoftware’s 2022 action RPG, which remains commercially successful despite competing against newer releases.
The latest figures, published by Alinea Analytics in its analysis of past Game of the Year winners, put Elden Ring at approximately 36.4 million copies sold and $2 billion in estimated lifetime revenue. The game won The Game Awards’ Game of the Year award in 2022, and its performance demonstrates how acclaimed games can continue generating substantial sales long after their initial release.
Elden Ring Continues to Sell Millions of Copies Years After Launch
According to Alinea Analytics, Steam accounts for approximately 50% of Elden Ring sales, while PlayStation represents 35% and Xbox accounts for the remaining 15% across console and PC. Although PlayStation and Xbox contribute around half of the estimated copies sold, they generate 57.5% of the game’s revenue.
Regional pricing helps explain the difference. Alinea Analytics notes that a substantial share of Steam sales comes from lower-priced markets, including China, which accounts for approximately 17.4% of the game’s Steam copies sold.

The figures also underline the game’s lasting appeal. Rather than relying solely on launch-period sales, Elden Ring continues attracting new players years after release, putting it ahead of numerous newer games in estimated revenue generated during 2026.
The game’s continued commercial performance is supported by a dedicated player base. Alinea Analytics estimates that more than 9.8 million players have spent over 100 hours in Elden Ring, while nearly 3.5 million have unlocked every achievement or trophy.
The report also highlights crossover activity among PlayStation players. Of the approximately 1.5 million people who played Elden Ring on PlayStation during the previous month covered by the analysis, 4% also played Dark Souls 3, another 4% played Bloodborne, and 3% played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. These figures point to continued interest in FromSoftware’s broader catalogue.
The game’s success has also extended to its standalone multiplayer spin-off, Elden Ring Nightreign. According to the same Alinea Analytics report, the 2025 release has sold an estimated 7.8 million copies and generated approximately $282 million in revenue.
With another 2 million estimated sales in 2026, Elden Ring demonstrates the commercial value of maintaining a strong reputation beyond a game’s launch window. Its combination of exploration, challenging combat, and extensive replayability has helped sustain interest across multiple platforms.
The estimated $110 million generated this year also places the game in a strong position against newer releases. While the figures are not official publisher disclosures, they suggest that Elden Ring remains an important source of revenue for Bandai Namco and FromSoftware as the industry approaches another Game Awards season.
