Bandai Namco Entertainment America has revealed a new trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, offering a closer look at the character creation system coming to the long-awaited action RPG sequel. Titled “Fight Your Own Way,” the trailer highlights how players can create an original fighter and determine their abilities, appearance and combat style.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is set in the unexplored era of AGE 1000, creating a new setting and story within the Dragon Ball universe. Players will build their own hero before joining forces with familiar Dragon Ball characters who previously defended Earth.
The game is scheduled to launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco is expected to reveal additional details about the sequel in the months leading up to its release.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Adds Androids to Six Playable Races
The character creator allows players to select from six different races: Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, Majin and Android. The Android race is a new addition to the Xenoverse character creation system and gives players another way to build their custom Dragon Ball fighter.
Beyond selecting a race, players can customize their character’s appearance and inherit powerful techniques from Super Fighters. Their combat identity can also be shaped around the movement and abilities of 130 heroes, providing a broad selection of options when developing a unique fighting style.
The sequel expands beyond familiar locations with a new version of West City, where players will encounter original stories and characters. Their custom hero will also become part of the Great Saiya Squad, fighting alongside allies as mysterious events begin unfolding.
Set within an unexplored era, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 aims to give players a fresh world while retaining the series’ focus on creating a personalized fighter. The combination of six races, extensive customization and abilities drawn from 130 heroes will allow players to approach the adventure in their own way.
Bandai Namco has confirmed that more information about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will be revealed ahead of its 2027 launch.
