What is the Plot of Dr. Stone?
This anime series is an adaptation of Dr. Stone, the manga released in 2017. The manga was recently got completed. One day, humanity was frightened by a blinding flash of light. Many years later, our protagonist, a high schooler named Taiju, found himself lost in this unknown world filled with statues all around him.
Although, he was not alone. He had his science-loving friend named Senku, who had been working on something for months, trying to figure out how to restart the civilization that was once empty and still with the help of science. It is a story about a world turned into stone, gearing back up with the help of science.
Dr. Stone Season 2 Recap and Spoilers
If you have been a reader of the manga, you would already know what occurred here. The main plotline of season 2 is the issues in the war between the Kingdom of Science and the Empire of Might.
While Tsukasa has been able to revive many strong people with the help of his revival fluid, Senku has been stuck with all the people from Ishigami Village; he has to decide who he will be leaving behind since he cannot take all of them due to them being too old to fight.
Another important segment of the season was Chrome’s prison break. This once again tested the capacity of the former magician without the help of our modern-day Senku.
By the end of the season, the conflict between Senku and Tsukasa was settled, and here we were also introduced to another important character of this show; Tsukasa’s sister Mirai. This may seem too sudden or clumsy to some people, but most of all, this showed that Tsukasa was never a bad guy. He was never someone who wanted to do bad things. Tsukasa realized what he was doing wrong by the end and shifted back, focusing on the technology he once tried to use to destroy everything.
Although the anime only ran for eleven episodes, it did not fail to cover everything perfectly—the way it was showcased in the best way possible for this story. And while the Stone War era may be over, there is still much to explore in the anime. Without spoiling anything, we can say that the Age of Exploration era of anime has just begun.
