Dinner Date Season 12 Episode 19 Recap
The dinner date for today is James, he’s a 23-year-old car salesman who plays professional football for his local team, and he’s not afraid of using social media to find a romantic partner. In the culinary aspects, he’s into Mexican fajitas. James must choose three of those five menus and have a date with three girls.
Firstly, we have Jess, 23 years old, and she’s a dog lover and actress from Stockport, who chose a series of Mexican dishes to try and captivate James’ palate. Then we have —another girl named Jess— a 25-year-old who has a knack for tea from Macclesfield and wants to treat James to a dinner of stuffed peppers with couscous, chicken pie, and sticky toffee pudding.
The third menu comes from Sarah, a 20-year-old tennis fan who wants to treat James to canapés, steak, and cheesecake. The fourth culinary proposal comes from Lucy, a 25-year-old guitar player who wants to eat salad, pasta, and frozen berries smoothie. Lastly, James is treated to some mushroom soup, chicken breast with mozzarella cheese, and a caramel chocolate tart cake by Katie, a 22-year-old fan of embroidery and administrative assistant.

Time To Cook
James picks the culinary proposals of Jess, Sarah, and Lucy. And the first girl to cook for James is Lucy from Stockport. She seems confident around the kitchen as she prepares her dishes but has a little trouble making the dessert —and burns the potatoes beyond recognition! James arrives with some tequila for Mexican. James obviously doesn’t like the main dish and goes home. Still, he gives Lucy three stars.
Sarah, the tennis player, has high expectations for this dinner. She makes the dessert first while breaking a few glasses. James arrives with a bottle of bubbly and has a hard time opening it. They chit-chat and have some dinner, and rates her with three stars despite the political talk started by Sarah.
Lastly, there’s Lucy, who has a lot of trouble making the dessert, and when James arrives, they share a drink and start talking about music and performing arts. The starter is a fail, then the pasta dish and berry smoothie dessert —kind of— make it for James, who gives her two stars. In the end, James picks Sarah for a second date.
