Deltarune version 0.0.247 is now rolling out on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Deltarune has received another post-launch update, with version 0.0.247 rolling out for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The latest patch focuses on improving gameplay stability by resolving several bugs, fixing softlock scenarios, and making a handful of gameplay and text adjustments.

While the update does not introduce new story content, it includes fixes affecting combat, platforming, and user interface behavior. Players can download the patch as it becomes available through the Nintendo eShop on supported systems.

Gameplay fixes address combat and progression issues

One of the most notable changes prevents players from receiving the JusticeAxe from the Castle Town cliff if they never obtained the Shadow Crystal in Chapter 4 on that save file. The update also fixes an issue where grazing bullets from an aqua miniboss unintentionally caused attacks to last longer than intended.

Several gameplay bugs have also been resolved, including an armor effect that failed to increase invincibility frames during a chapter boss encounter. Other fixes target platforming sections, preventing players from clipping through the floor or becoming trapped after using Rude Buster during a boss battle.

Additional corrections include repairing broken scissor hazards after specific events, fixing a visual issue involving the SOUL remaining inside a birdcage, eliminating overlapping dialogue boxes, and resolving situations where players could continue moving while menus remained open.

Text updates and new credits included

Version 0.0.247 also introduces a few text-related improvements. Players may discover new dialogue in the Cliffs shop under a particularly rare circumstance, while the Castle Town manual has been updated to mention Susie’s SCYTHEMARE.

The patch additionally expands the game’s credits by recognizing Matt Cummings for Festival Concept Art, Zu Ehtisham for Platforming VFX, and Marcy Nabors for Music Assistance.

The remaining changes focus on minor graphical improvements, including fixing floating train blueprints and various other small visual and text corrections. Although the update is relatively modest in scope, it continues Deltarune’s steady stream of post-launch refinements aimed at improving the overall player experience.
