Atlus and SEGA have revealed a new Persona 4 Revival story trailer during the Xbox @ gamescom Broadcast 2026, offering a closer look at the mysterious events awaiting players in the rural Japanese town of Inaba. The upcoming supernatural turn-based RPG remake revisits the central mystery surrounding a teenager who moves to the seemingly quiet town before becoming caught in a series of disturbing incidents.
The trailer also highlights the return of the Midnight Channel, an ominous urban legend that spreads throughout Inaba. According to the legend, the mysterious channel serves as a portal to a strange and dangerous world, pulling the protagonist and his friends into a supernatural mystery that must be solved.
SEGA and Atlus have also confirmed that Persona 4 Revival will launch on February 18, 2027, making it one of the most anticipated RPG releases of the year for both longtime Persona fans and newcomers.
Persona 4 Revival Director Explains the Remake’s Approach
Following the Xbox broadcast, P-STUDIO Director Kazuhisa Wada appeared in an exclusive trailer breakdown to provide additional insight into the development of Persona 4 Revival. The presentation focused on how the remake is being designed to appeal to both players discovering the story for the first time and returning fans familiar with the original game.
Wada will also appear on the next episode of the Official Xbox Podcast, scheduled for August 27, 2026, for a longer discussion about the upcoming remake and its development.
Persona 4 Revival will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The game will launch day one through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while also supporting Xbox Play Anywhere.
