We are now just over a week away from the release of Daredevil: Born Again. Even though the show has not yet aired a single episode, work on Season 2 has already begun. The new season is expected to premiere on Disney+ next year.
When Daredevil: Born Again first entered development several years ago, it seemed that only Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio would return. However, a major creative change at the end of 2023 allowed other familiar faces to come back. Jon Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson have officially joined the project.
Production for Season 2 is set to begin later this week. Deborah Ann Woll recently confirmed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she will return as Karen Page. She also shared that she has already read the scripts and is excited about the direction of the story.
“The scripts are amazing. I am deeply honored to be part of the storyline that Dario [Scardapane] has written. I am impressed and thrilled.”
Woll’s character, Karen Page, has played an important role in Matt Murdock’s life. She has also been a key figure in Frank Castle’s story in both The Punisher and the original Daredevil series. Recently, Disney+ confirmed that Jon Bernthal will lead a new Punisher special.
More details about the project have now surfaced, including the exciting news that Bernthal will make his screenwriting debut for the upcoming show. The special is expected to be released next year, alongside Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
Casting for the Punisher special has not yet started, and details about the story remain unknown. However, given Karen’s past with Frank and her return in Daredevil: Born Again, it is possible that she could appear in another MCU project as well.
