Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival has sold an estimated 344,000 copies across platforms and generated $13.1 million in revenue since its October 8, 2026, launch, according to market research firm Alinea Analytics. The figures suggest that the survival horror game has found an audience despite receiving a mixed response from critics.
The estimates were published by Alinea Analytics analyst Rhys Elliott in a Halloween-focused report examining the commercial performance of horror games. The report also highlights the growing popularity of the genre on Steam, where horror titles have generated an estimated $1.3 billion in revenue during 2026 so far.
PS5 and Steam Drive Hellraiser: Revival Sales
According to Alinea Analytics, the PlayStation 5 version accounts for 43.7% of Hellraiser: Revival’s revenue, while Steam contributes another 43.2%. Xbox consoles and PC combined account for the remaining 13.1%.
The figures indicate that PlayStation 5 and Steam are almost evenly matched in revenue contribution. Together, the two platforms represent 86.9% of the game’s estimated earnings since launch.
The report also points to a gap between critical reception and player feedback. Hellraiser: Revival holds a Metacritic score of 69, while its Steam reviews are 93% positive. Alinea Analytics also reports user ratings of 4.7 out of 5 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox.

These figures suggest that the game has received a warmer response from players than from professional critics, although review scores alone do not explain its sales performance.
Hellraiser: Revival is entering a strong year for the horror genre. Alinea Analytics estimates that horror games have generated $1.3 billion on Steam in 2026, representing a 17% increase over 2025 and more than four times the estimated revenue recorded in 2019.
Horror accounts for approximately 7% of Steam’s estimated $18.1 billion in revenue this year. Newer releases are also making a substantial contribution, with games launched in 2026 generating an estimated $516.2 million, or 41% of the genre’s revenue.
Resident Evil remains the biggest franchise in the market. Its games have generated an estimated $410 million on Steam this year, representing 32% of horror revenue. Resident Evil Requiem alone accounts for $211.3 million, while The Outlast Trials has generated $62.1 million.
The report also highlights the continued strength of cooperative horror games. R.E.P.O. generated an estimated $44.7 million on Steam in 2026, while Phasmophobia earned $28.9 million during the same period.
