The first episode of the Romanian television series Clanul, which translates to ‘The Clan,’ aired on September 19, 2022. With Season 1 ending on December 12, 2022, it has been five months since the show initially made its debut. The huge success of this show has led to Season 2, which aired last month on February 19, 2023.

Synopsis
Our main character Tudor (Denis Hanganu), wanted to work as a police officer. But then, due to a series of unfortunate events, he landed up having legal trouble. He was further expelled from the Police Academy before it had even begun. He put in a lot of effort and underwent a lot of training, but in vain.
It turns out that he blackmailed the city commissioner while he was still a student because he felt threatened for his people and dissatisfied with the corrupt system as a whole that functions in the commissioner’s presence.
It was obvious that this event would have a detrimental effect on Tudor’s ambitions for the future. He got a taste of reality through this event. Tudor started a new chapter in his life when he was imprisoned for threatening the commissioner following the entire affair.
During his time in jail, he befriends a mafia group and develops connections with them. The leaders of this gang were Tatutu and Bebe Macelaru. The only things that remain in Tudor’s heart that are authentic to his past lifestyle are his culture, loyalty, and respect. He is prepared to take any action necessary to achieve his goals.
In addition to this, the narrative also focuses on Tudor’s mother, Luminita, and the difficulties she encounters. She had already lost her first child, so she convinced herself that Tudor’s trip to the prison would be the same as losing her second child as well.
What fate awaits Tudor? Will he be able to fight back against the powerful authorities’ crooked system?
The cast of Clanul Season 2
The cast of Clanul Season 2 is mainly the same as was in Season 1, except for a few new additions who join the Mafia. The leading actor Denis Hanganu and Marian Olteanu, have hugely contributed to the show’s immense success through their roles.
Denis Hanganu
Playing the role of our protagonist Tudor Achim, Denis Hanganu began his acting career through a movie titled O Despartire in 2018. After graduating from the University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in 2026, Denis is familiar with the variations of acting, which has helped him climb the ladder of success in the industry.
His notable works are Poppy Field (2020) and Sacrificiul (2019).
Marian Olteanu
Marian Olteanu has worked alongside Denis in Sacrificiul (2019) and graduated from the same University but in Bucuresti 2 years prior to Denis, i.e., in 2014. Playing the character of David Pribeag in Clanul, Marian Olteanu showcases his talent in acting through David and has received much appreciation for his role as well.
Other works of Marian include Alice T (2018) and Dragon Heart Vengeance (2020)
