The seven-member kpop group Ciipher has become the center of attention with the release of their latest EP, The Code! It seems Ciipher members are on the way toward a brighter future. After all, Ciipher didn’t have a flowery start after their debut. The kpop group consisted of seven members, Tan, Hwi, Hyunbin, Keita, TAG, Dohwan, and Won. However, before the members were selected, the preparation to form the group had taken almost three years. And finally, on 15 March 2021, Ciipher debuted with their first EP, I Like You, under R.A.I.N Company!
Furthermore, Rain said that various factors were considered while making Ciipher. For him, Ciipher members weren’t only trainees or future assets. These kids gave him assurance that he could bet all on them. It seems Ciipher is pretty close to his heart since Rain went as far as saying he wouldn’t regret the things regardless of the outcomes. Although the start was a little bumpy, the members are giving their best shots! After their debut, they released two EPs, Blind and The Code. Also, The group won Korean Culture Entertainment K-Pop Stae Award in 2021. Thus, there are many fans who want to know more about such talented and well-mannered Ciipher kpop group members!

Hyunbin
Meet the leader of the kpop boy group Ciipher, Moon Hyunbin! Hyunbin was born on 26 February 2000 in Seoul, South Korea. Before joining R.I.A.N Company, Hyunbin was a former trainee under YG Entertainment and later under Starship Entertainment. The singer was even supposed to debut with Cravity members since they all were in the pre-debut year. However, he couldn’t do so.
In 2019, he participated in the Korean competition reality show Produce X 101. However, he got eliminated in Episode 8, securing Rank 32. And eventually, in December 2020, Hyunbin was revealed as one of Ciipher members! Since then, the group has been progressing steadily under Hyunbin’s leadership!
Tan
Here comes the lead vocalist of Ciipher, Choi Seok Won, better known by his stage name, Tan! Tan was born on 25 August 1996 in Jinhae-gu, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. The idol graduated from Korean Arts High school (Music Department). Besides, he is the eldest among all Ciipher members. Like Hyunbin, Tan is also a former Starship Entertainment trainee.
Before his journey with Ciipher started, Tan used to be a part of the survival kshow NO.MERCY under his birth name but couldn’t last till the end and got eliminated in Episode 10. Following the survival show’s result, Tan enlisted into the military to serve his duty. Despite going through the rough trainee period, Tan continued his journey to become one of the best kpop singers!
Hwi
Kim Byeong Geun, also known as Hwi, was born on 4 February 1999 in Ilsan, South Korea. From the beginning, he admired and respected SHINee’s Taemin and thus wanted to follow in his idol’s footsteps. Even EXO’s Growl motivated him to sing and desire to be on the TV. Therefore, when the opportunity knocked on his door, he grabbed it and became one of Ciipher members under R.A.I.N Company.
Nothing much has been revealed regarding Hwi’s family background or his education, except he is the only son in his family. Besides being a fan of EDM, the idol loves watching movies and playing badminton.

Keita
Here comes an all-rounder, lead dancer, lead rapper, sub vocalist, and composer of Ciipher kpop group, Keita! The Japanese rapper Terazono Keita, better known as Keita, was born on 4 July 2001 in Osaka, Japan. Before joining R.A.I.N Company, Keita was a contestant in the reality show YG Treasure Box in Team J. He was almost near the finish line but sadly got eliminated in the second last episode.
Even during the reality show, Keita showcased excellent leadership since he had the most training period. After all, the idol was trained for more than 5 years. He is also a former YG Japan trainee. While admiring BIGBANG and 2NE1, Kieta focuses on improving his singing and rapping skills! Thus, he also participated in writing various tracks such as Give Me Love, Fall In Love, Fame, Slam The Door, etc.
TAG
TAG is the main rapper of Ciipher kpop group! Yeom Tae Gyum, also known as TAG, was born on 30 September 2002. Before immigrating to Thailand, he had lived in Daegu and Jinju. In Thailand, the idol spent his 17 years of life before returning to South Korea. Furthermore, he and Ghost9’s Prince were trainees from On Air Academy Thailand.
In 2021, TAG participated in High School Rapper Season 4. He passed only the first two rounds and was eliminated in Round 3. Besides his reality show appearance, the idol was featured in Rain’s Come Over along with Keita and Won in the same year. As a composer, TAG has composed the group’s various tracks such as Solo, I Live You (An Gyulyeo), Fire, You, etc. Despite the initial dream to be a model and actor, TAG is working harder to be an outstanding rapper!

Dohwan
Now meet the main vocalist of Ciipher, Dohwan! Gil Do Hwan was born on 26 August 2003 in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea and was enrolled at Myongji High School Seoul. Like Keita, Dohwan was also a contestant on the survival show YG Treasure Box in Team B and was eliminated in the second to last episode.
With the other Ciipher members, Dohwan was also introduced in December 2020. Some may not know, but the singer was able to play the Haegeum, which is a Korena string instrument that resembles a fiddle. Due to his affectionate personality, Dohwan treasures friendships, such as his bonding with Treasure’s Doyoung.
Won
And finally comes the maknae of Ciipher, Won! Park Sung Won was born on 18 December 2003 in Incheon, South Korea. Recently, He graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School (Department of Applied Music). Prior to joining Ciipher, Won was a trainee under A team Entertainment.
Afterward, Won even participated as a contestant in Under Nineteen reality survival show, where he ranked seventh. Therefore, along with the other members, Won officially debuted as the project group 1THE9 with the mini-album XIX in April 2019. However, the group couldn’t last long and ultimately disbanded in August 2020. Furthermore, Won helped both groups 1THE9 and Ciipher by composing numerous songs, such as Blah, Drive, Glow, Dream In The Sky, Fire, Fall In Love, On A Highway, etc. Thus, with such talents, hopefully, Ciipher kisses a new height of success!
