Bosch: Legacy remains a favorite show on Amazon. Fans will have to wait a bit longer for the new season. Star Titus Welliver shared with media that although filming ended in May, the show will not return until the end of the year. Welliver, who is also in Watchmen: Chapter 1, confirmed that Season 3 of Legacy will come out in 2025.
This season looks to be very intense. Harry Bosch will tackle a mystery about a missing family that tests his views on justice. Meanwhile, Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) will be a major candidate for Los Angeles District Attorney, adding a political twist to the story. Maddie Bosch (Madison Lintz) faces danger from recent violent robberies while working as an LAPD officer.
How Did Season 2 of ‘Bosch: Legacy’ End?
Season 2 ended with legal drama and personal struggles. Maddie’s testimony led to Dockweiler’s (David Denham) conviction, but his death in prison—potentially arranged by Bosch—left viewers questioning the moral issues. The season closed with a cliffhanger as Maddie received a mysterious call about her father, setting up a dramatic continuation for Season 3.
In other news, author Michael Connelly revealed that a new spin-off starring Maggie Q as Detective Renée Ballard will be linked to Bosch: Legacy.
Ballard will appear in Season 3, and the spin-off will follow shortly after. Both series will adapt Connelly’s novel Desert Star, featuring a “double helix structure” that ties the cases together. Connelly said, “That book has what I call the double helix structure. It has two cases wrapped around each other.
So it’s not going to be the whole season, but one part is going to be the main arc for Ballard, and one is the main arc for Legacy.”
