Yan’s escape plan is coming along perfectly, and now he has even gained an ally to assist him with this plan. Trainee Soldier Rank 9 Roman has joined Yan because he wants to escape the hellish training and return to his family. Two enemies became allies because of their common hatred for the emperor. Will they be able to succeed in their escape?
Bloodhound’s Regression Instinct Chapter 7 opens up with Roman proving once again why he’s the biggest idiot in this series. Roman threatens to tell the instructor about Yan’s plan to make a dog hole. Yan has done so much hard work and put himself through so many hardships and humiliation to escape this hell, but Roman wants to end it all in an instant.
Recap
The Crazy thing here is that Roman doesn’t even know about Yan’s Motives, and he’s just threatening him just because he wants to be a bully for no reason. Sadly for Roman, he messed with the wrong dude this time. Yan already had enough of everyone’s threats, and Roman just makes his day even worse. In his imagination, Yan quickly unleashes the Dark Chaos 16th form and cuts Roman’s throat in an instant.
The sudden slash from Yan leaves Roman bleeding till he finally dies. Alas, Yan can only imagine killing Roman for now because if he killed Roman in reality, then he’d attract unnecessary attention and suspicion toward him. Roman asks Yan to speak up because Yan has been lost in thoughts for a while now.
Roman wonders if Yan is just too scared to speak up because the punishment for trying to escape the training grounds is execution. What Roman doesn’t know here is that Yan is literally fantasizing about killing him right now without even an ounce of fear. Roman says that he understands that Yan is just scared, and so he would keep everything a secret if Yan just begs him for it.
Yan finally has enough of Roman’s crap, and so he speaks up. Yan tells Roman that he won’t do anything because Roman isn’t going to tell anyone about this anyway. Roman gets furious and asks Yan if he’s underestimating him. Yan says that the reason why he knows that Roman won’t say anything is because he knows how much Roman hates the special forces.
Yan recalls the incident where Roman nearly died while expressing his hatred towards the specialist forces. He further adds that Roman wouldn’t say anything because his determination to go home is stronger than anything else. Yan looks Roman in the eyes and asks him if he’s also longing for an escape route just like him.
Roman sighs and then commends Yan on how extraordinary he is. Roman says that he’s well aware that Yan could have killed him during their last spar, and it would have been the end for him, but Yan chose not to do it. Roman further adds that since that day, he has always noticed Yan as he could sense a unique smell from him.
Yan calls Roman a stalker, and he’s pretty much correct because only stalkers follow people by their smell. Yan then asks Roman how he found out about his escape plan, and Roman explains that he just observed Yan’s footsteps. Yan couldn’t understand Roman’s answer, so Roman clarified it a bit.
Roman says that he notices traces of lime powder in Yan’s footprints, which is suspicious, considering that the entire training facility is made of granite. Roman was also able to find out that the footprints belonged to Yan as the size and shape matched Yan’s shoes. Yan is surprised after hearing such a detailed explanation from Roman because he always considered him to be dumb.
Yan tells Roman that he never thought Roman was this sharp because of how he looks. Roman just stood silently for a bit because he couldn’t understand if Yan was complimenting or insulting him. Roman then inquires about Yan’s escape plan and the exit of the tunnel he created.
Roman also asks about the probability of a successful escape, which makes Yan wonder if he wants to go along with him. Roman says that he can’t answer Yan just yet, so Yan tells him to just continue his training as he will soon rise in rank and get to a better place in about 10 years.
Yan then tells Roman that in 10 years, he will lose everyone he’s trying to protect so that nothing will matter. Yan asks Roman once again if he wants to go with him. Roman thinks for a while because if he agrees with Yan, then his chances of dying are a lot higher. After finding no other option, Roman eventually agrees to go along with Yan.
