BLACKPINK’s Jennie has set the internet abuzz with the announcement of her solo concerts, The Ruby Experience. This comes shortly after revealing her first solo album, RUBY, scheduled for release on March 7, 2025. The concert series will commence in Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater on March 6, then head to New York’s Radio City Music Hall on March 10, and conclude at Seoul Inspire Arena on March 15.
Jennie excitedly teased her fans through an Instagram post, describing the concert experience as “intense and intimate.” She also announced that a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to help those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. The announcement sparked waves of excitement among fans, many expressing their eagerness for the show, with several wishing for European performances too.
Jennie’s Solo Album: RUBY
Jennie’s debut solo album, RUBY, marks a significant milestone in her career. The album, which features 15 tracks, aims to showcase her multifaceted artistic side, combining various elements and genres. Fans can look forward to collaborations with renowned artists such as Doechii, Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis, and FKJ. RUBY will be released under Jennie’s newly established label, ODD ATELIER, after her exit from YG Entertainment.
Ahead of the album release, Jennie offered a sneak peek with her single Mantra in October. The empowering anthem, which celebrates girl power, was met with a warm reception from both fans and critics. It achieved impressive chart rankings, including peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 98 on the Billboard Hot 100.
BLACKPINK’s Ongoing Solo Projects
While Jennie goes on her solo journey, her BLACKPINK members are also making strides in their individual projects. Lisa will release her solo album Alter Ego on February 28, 2025, while gearing up for her role in the drama series The White Lotus. Lisa will also perform solo at Coachella alongside Jennie.
Jisoo, meanwhile, is diving into acting with her new drama Newtopia, which premieres on February 7. She will also release a song on February 14, though it remains unclear whether it will be a single or part of an album.
Rosé has already made a splash with her debut album Rosie, and her collaboration with Bruno Mars, APT, in 2024. She recently performed at the Le Gala Des Pièces Jaunes 2025 and is set to be the first solo K-pop performer at Japan’s largest music festival, GMO Sonic 2025.
