The members of BLACKPINK have been ruling over the world, so knowing the members’ names, as well as common facts such as their birthdates, have become important pieces of information. BLACKPINK has the whole world dancing to its catchy beats ever since its debut. Instantly, BLACKPINK became the fastest Korean artist group to chart at number one and two on the Billboards World Digital Songs Chart and the third K-pop artist to do so. Over the years, the girl group’s fandom has grown rapidly as well as its achievements. BLINKS is now one of the biggest fandoms in the world. 1. Jisoo

Kim Jisoo was born on January 3, 1995, in Gunpo, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Although she is the eldest out of all of the BLACKPINK members, she is the youngest in her family, having an elder brother and sister. Jisoo had joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in the year 2011, meaning that she had trained for five years before debuting with BLACKPINK. Moreover, she was the third member to be revealed to the public. BLACKPINK’s lead vocalist and visual had also appeared in many advertisements and songs before debuting too. You can spot her in EPIK High’s Spoiler+Ending, Hi Suhyun’s I’m Different, and IKON’s Best Friend MV. She has even made an appearance along with her labelmate 2NE1’s Dara in the K-drama, The Producers.

Jisoo has been gaining popularity for her soothing husky voice and stunning visuals. A fact that many people might not know about her is that she is multilingual. Kim Jennie was born on January 16, 1996, in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, South Korea, and was raised in Auckland, New Zealand, for five years and is an only child. Jennie is known for her unbeatable fashion sense, fast raps, dance moves, and singing skills. She can even play the piano, flute, acoustic and electric guitar. Furthermore, Jennie joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in the August of 2010, meaning that she trained for five years and 11 months before debuting. Jennie was the first member of Blackpink that was revealed to the public with a photo of herself titled ‘Who is that girl?’. She starred In G-dragon’s That XX and sang for his song ‘Black’ and Lee Hi’s Special.

Jennie has been nicknamed Human Gucci, Human Chanel, Nini, and Jendukie by her fans. Furthermore, Jennie was named on the ‘Precious Yet Powerful’ list of kpop idols because of her crazy duality. Kim Jennie’s fierce on-stage persona and her teddy bear personality off the stage have given fans a whiplash countless times. Not only does the girl know how to slay magazine covers, but Kim Jennie was also credited as a fashion editor for Blackpink’s March 2021 Vogue photoshoot. Moreover, Jennie made the most successful solo debut to this day with her single titled ‘Solo’. With her solo, Jennie became the first female soloist to get a certified all-kill with a debut song. She became the fastest kpop female soloist to reach one million on YouTube. Then, Jennie also became the fastest female kpop soloist to reach two million and three million views on the platform.

Because of her immense influence over the masses both in South Korea and around the world, Jennie is the go-to brand ambassador. She is the brand ambassador of the high-end brand Chanel. 3. Rosé

Rosé’s real name is Roseane Park. Furthermore, she was born in New Zealand, raised in Australia, and moved to Korea to pursue her dreams of becoming a star. Her birthday is on February 11. When Rosé was fifteen years old, she attended a YG Entertainment audition and placed first among a whopping seven hundred participants. Rosé moved to Australia at the age of seven and was studying law before she decided to move to Korea and become a Kpop idol. In 2012, Rosé even featured on G-Dragon’s hit song ‘Without You,’ which topped the Billboard charts for many days.

Her contribution to the extended play was revealed only after her debut as a Blackpink member. After joining YG Entertainment, Rosé trained for four years before debuting as a member of Blackpink. After the successful debut, Rosé also appeared on the singing variety show ‘King Of Masked Singer,’ where she won the audience’s hearts with her magical voice.

In 2021, Rosé went on to make her debut as a solo artist. She debuted with a single album titled ‘R’. Moreover, the album became the highest-selling kpop album by a female soloist in just a week. The lead single of her debut album titled ‘On The Ground’ broke PSY’s eight-year-old record of having the most viewed music video by a Korean soloist in just a day. Apart from music, Rosé is also a well-known face and name in the fashion industry. She was named as the global brand ambassador of the luxury fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent in July of 2022. 4. Lisa

Lalisa Manobal, more popularly known by her stage name Lisa is the youngest among her fellow members, aka maknae, of Blackpink. Furthermore, Lisa was born as Parnpriya Manobal on March 27, 1997, in Burriram Province of Thailand. She is the only child in her family. An interesting fact about Lisa’s family is that her father is a renowned MasterChef named Marco Bruschweiler. Lisa started dancing at the age of four and even joined a dance crew with GOT7’s Bambam. In 2010, at a YG audition with over four thousand participants, a thirteen-year-old Lisa Manobal emerged as the winner.

Lisa joined YG Entertainment in 2011 and trained for five years before debuting as a member of Blackpink. Additionally, Lisa is the first YG Entertainment trainee who is not ethically Korean. In 2021, Lisa made her solo debut with her debut album titled ‘Lalisa’. The album went on to break multiple records. Her ‘Lalisa’ music video became the most viewed music video by a female soloist in twenty-four hours. Lisa is fluent in English, Thai, and Korean and knows how to speak basic Chinese and Japanese.
