For seven days, BioShock is free on Epic Games Store, and it’s the complete collection! Usually, Epic Games lets everybody know which games are they giving away for free in advance. But in the past couple of weeks, that has changed a bit. Just a couple of weeks ago, the Store dropped Borderlands 3 for free. And if you’re not familiar with the Epic Games store’s policy, each week, they give out a totally free game for you! It’s a way to engage with you and keep you with them.

So, today we’re talking about a classic trilogy of a very well-made RPG and first-person shooter that dates back all the way to the early 2000s: BioShock. That’s right! Epic Games is giving away the entire collection —that’s all three games— for free. And after you read our post, you’ll learn how to get it.

BioShock: The Complete Collection, go out there and get it!

BioShock Is Free On Epic Games Store

First things first, unlike the Apple App Store, which tends to give out old apps that don’t work for free. Epic Games Store’s policy is to hand out to gamers quality titles so they can play and enjoy themselves. Some games suck. And others are great titles worth picking up, like BioShock. So, if you’re new to BioShock, do yourself a favor and pick it up. Or if you have already played it, pick it up anyway because it’s the revamped graphics edition.

The first BioShock game takes you on an underwater adventure to Rapture, a city where you will get familiar with a story of something that went quite awry. As you get familiar with that story, you will have to do your best to survive against the unruly natives that are not fond of your presence. Moreover, to do it, you will have a nice array of guns and gimmicks to do it.

What’s BioShock 2 & 3 About?

BioShock 2 sends you back to Rapture. The underwater city is an antagonist from the original game. While the third installment, BioShock Infinite, sends you above water to a visually stunning Steampunk æsthetic city above the clouds.

What Does BioShock: The Collection Contain?

BioShock: The Collection features revamped and remastered installments of this great trilogy and every single DLC. For all that it’s worth —just a click— it’s practically one of the best freebies that the Epic Games Store has ever dropped in its history. If you’re new to BioShock, you’ll love this game, and veteran gamers will love playing this again —I know I will when I make some free time!

Additionally, if you own a Steam Deck, this game should perform spectacularly on that handheld. Going back to the original point, BioShock was one of the coolest titles from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 days. And all things considered, it’s a great legacy gaming piece that everyone should enjoy.

If you’re new to BioShock, you’ll love it, and you played it before, you’ll love the nostalgia factor.

When Does BioShock: The Collection Land On The Epic Store?

BioShock: The Collection is totally free to pick up from the Epic Games Store right now. This is part of their Mega Sale marketing strategy, and it comes right after they gave away Borderlands 3. The game will be available for seven days. That’s up until June 2, 2022, at 11:00 hrs Eastern Time, United States. So that’s plenty of time to pick up this bad boy!

If you picked up BioShock: The Collection, also check out what other games Epic Store has at a discount for you. Furthermore, the Mega Sale is one of the big events for Epic Store each year. With discounts on titles like Deathloop, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and Ghostwire: Tokyo, it’s well worth your while and more bang for your buck! Each week, Epic will give away another game, and if you consider what they’d dropped so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another big title. That’s all the time we have now for BioShock and the Epic Games Store. Thanks for your attention, and Happy Gaming. See you soon!
