Back in town, we see that Cormac and Cassie are now paired together. He saw him picking up some items and inquired about what she was doing next. Thus, the two were seen driving off to look for the backpacker at the Dead Man’s Drop.
As they are riding in between the woods, Cassie leads the duo to a place where she thinks the backpacker might have gone. By the time there is no light in the sky, we see that the duo has found Mark’s body. He was the missing backpacker all along.
Also, we saw that Sunny and Cormac had a conversation. She asks him to run to the town and gives him further details about the route which Paige could have taken. Then we see her going to talk to Emily and Avery. As for Emily, she wants to go and find her father’s knife and also inquire about Paige.
Even though she is not, Sunny lies and tells her that Paige is safe and at home. Buck talks to Sunny about how he thinks Walter should stay in the woods. But she reveals that it was Walter who came to her. She also denies him having any relation to the disappearance of Paige.
As for Buck, he thinks that Walter has actually murdered his adoptive parents, but well, Sunny will not allow anything like this to pass around among the people they know.
