Big Brother 2023, commonly known as Big Brother 20, is the current Big Brother series broadcast in the UK. It is the first season to be broadcast on ITV2 following ITV’s acquisition of the series’ rights in August 2022—nearly four years after its final airing on Channel 5.
On October 8, 2023, the show began simultaneously on ITV (ITV1 and STV) and ITV2, with subsequent episodes airing only on the latter channel. It will be co-presented by AJ Odudu and Will Best, who will also host Big Brother: Late & Live.
ITV stated that after the show was commissioned, a new cast of carefully selected housemates from many spheres of life would be featured. The first six weeks of the program’s run would be devoted to “cameras capturing [the housemates’ every move, and the nation following every twist and turn.”
To choose who will receive a financial award and return to shopping challenges, nominations, and live evictions, the audience will once more vote throughout the series.
The main show has many hosts, including Davina McCall, Brian Dowling, the 2001 winner, and media personality Emma Willis. Two newbies will host the show this year. It will be presented by Will Best and Aj Odudu, who will also headline the Late & Live spinoff.
The show’s 42-day run, divided into 36 episodes, will be the shortest in its history. It will be broadcast six evenings a week, from Sunday through Friday at 8 PM, followed at 10 PM by the live companion program Big Brother: Late & Live, where the housemates who were evicted will give their first interviews.
Recap Of The Show
Big Brother declares that over the course of the next two days, you will participate in a variety of office activities in an effort to earn a budget for upscale purchases. Failure will result in a week’s worth of economic spending. Big Brother continues, saying that going forward, you are all my employees, and I take on the job of CEO.
Big Bros Ltd’s organization is divided into three tiers: the top-ranking Big Wigs, who make important decisions; the Middle Management, who manage the business’ daily operations; and the Bottoms, who faithfully do assigned tasks.
The chosen Big Wigs are revealed to be Yinrun, Henry, and Trish. They get into their business attire and head up to their workplace.
The Big Wigs are served opulent dinners while the Bottoms are given subpar rations when the food distribution in the home is changed. While getting ready, Yinrun says, “When I put this on, I’ll look more like a boss.”
