Putting a new spin on the already existing American reality series, Big Brother, CBS is all set to release its upcoming reality show called Big Brother Reindeer Games. This show is being released as the holiday version of the original show, with housemates from the older seasons of Big Brother featuring on the show.
Not long before the release of the first episode of the competition show, the producers finally announced who the contestants and the hosts for the show would be. Ex-Big Brother house guests Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell, and Jordan Lloyd have been confirmed to be the three hosts of the show
The producers have also confirmed the release of a total of six episodes to be out in just two weeks. One contestant will be sent home at the end of every episode, and just one winner in the final episode will get to take the prize and the winning title home.
The show was created to fill the gap left open because of the 2023 SAG strike and is now being promoted as a holiday special in the Big Brother world. With a mission to completely adorn the Christmas vibes, the hosts will be called Santa’s Elves. The show’s finale is expected to air before December 25th, 2023.
Unlike other Big Brother versions, this one has already been shot, which means that fans won’t be seeing any live footage of the contestants inside the house and that by the time it airs its first episode, the finale will have already been filmed.
The Plot
The producers of the show have come up with a brand new format for this version of Big Brother, and it is very different from the original reality series. For one, in this version, the contestants will not be living together; instead, they will be together only for the three games that each episode will introduce.
Every episode will have new games introduced, and after the games are done and dusted, there will be a final round called Santa’s Showdown. Through this corner in each episode, one member will get eliminated and sent home till, finally, we will be left with four remaining contestants.
Unlike the original series, the contestants will not be voting each other off, so we assume things won’t be as brutal inside. Of course, the contestants of the show will be put through this competition for the grand prize of a hundred thousand dollars, a sum only one of them will get to take home.
Finally, on December 6th and 7th, the producers revealed to fans who the participants of the first season of this show were going to be. From Britney Godwin to Cameron Hardin to others, including Cody Calafiore, Danielle Reyes, Frankie Grande, Joshua Martinez, Nicole Franzel-Arroyo, Taylor Hale, and Xavier Panther, all of our favorite participants from different seasons of Big Brother, are set to be part of this show.
