Bering Sea Gold Season 16 – Recap
The previous season witnessed several ups and downs in the miner’s life and kicked off with Chir McCully, a young gangster miner, challenging Mr. Gold’s dominance.
What a wild ride the previous season has been, with the mining crews being set on the same goal of extracting gold, as much gold as they can from below ground, in little time, while the clock keeps ticking for the mining licenses possessed by these miners.
Each mining crew has faced its fair share of equipment malfunctions, challenges, bad weather, budgetary issues, and bureaucratic problems. Meanwhile, Don faces health issues while Zeke creates a palace on ice.
A visibly pregnant Emily leaves Jane as the new in charge of the ongoing mining operation. The last episode of the season starts with an intense battle of gold search between Mr. Gold and Chris to obtain the top spot on the gold board while Kelly’s team is at risk of not being able to find any gold.
With the cold weather getting out of hand, the miners make several difficult decisions to find gold for their crew to obtain their first position on the leadership board.
Mr. Gold gives his best and tough competition to the new guy in town, Chris, throughout the last episode due to his desire to continue his streak of being in the first position on the board.
The first dive Mr Gold’s team took led them to no gold, and they soon realized they were wasting time at the same spot because someone else’s crew dug the gold out before their team.
Meanwhile, Chris and his crew, who started out hot in the new season, have continued to maintain his streak. In the last episode, he with his crew work hard on difficult grounds to get gold and complete his gold of becoming the first one on the board.
Meanwhile, after taking some dangerous dives, Vernon, Jane, and Zeke’s crew manage to find gold and end the season with a bang.
The season ended with Chris McCully being successful in beating Mr. Gold by collecting 112 oz of gold, while Mr. Gold came second by collecting 98.15 oz of gold. Kris Kelly’s mining crew wasn’t able to extract much gold and ended up in the last position.
