Balenciaga ad controversy continues to make headlines after the luxury brand issued an apology. The brand came under fire after people backlash against them for their newest ad campaign. The photographer Gabriele Galimberti who is reportedly behind the ad campaign earlier explained how the pictures were part of a series called Toy Stories.
The ad campaign featured children with teddy bears while they were seen wearing bondage gear. It also featured an image of a Supreme Court opinion on a child pornography case. However, critics pointed out that the plush toys appeared to be dressed in bondage and BDSM gear, including fishnet tops, studded leather harnesses, along with collars and locks.

Balenciaga Issues Apology For Their Recent Ad Campaign
Sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused,” the statement read while adding that their plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign. The brand further informed us that they had immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.

The luxury brand further apologised for displaying unsettling documents in there and stated that they take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for their Spring ‘23 campaign photoshoot.
