ARC Raiders is finally experimenting with a long-requested feature as a new PvE-focused system appears in recent playtests. Developer Embark Studios is testing a map condition called “Security Agreement,” a mechanic designed to prevent players from attacking each other under certain conditions. The feature has quickly gained attention, especially among players who have been asking for PvE options since the game’s launch.
The system is currently limited to Chinese test servers, where it has been introduced as part of a localized version of the game. While it remains unclear if the feature will be rolled out globally, its existence signals a potential shift in how ARC Raiders handles player interaction.
New ‘Security Agreement’ System Disables PvP in Matches
The key feature of the new system is its ability to limit player-versus-player combat within a match. Under the Security Agreement condition, players are encouraged or required to avoid attacking each other, creating a PvE-friendly environment.
A translated description from the Chinese test announcement explains that
“communication equipment in the area has been temporarily restored,”
allowing a character named Shani to establish a system that
“prevents raiders from harming each other.”
This effectively transforms the gameplay loop by prioritizing cooperation over competition.
Unlike traditional PvE modes that separate players into dedicated playlists, this system is integrated directly into the map. That means players experience the change within the same world, rather than switching to a completely different mode.
While the Security Agreement limits PvP, it does not eliminate it entirely. The system includes a built-in mechanic that allows players to bypass the restriction under certain conditions. This ensures that the core tension of the extraction shooter experience remains intact.

According to the translated description, “malicious raiders may use overloaded batteries to block communications and bypass the security agreement.” Once this happens, the player’s status becomes visible to others, signaling potential danger.
This design creates a hybrid gameplay style. Players can cooperate and focus on PvE objectives, but there is always the possibility of betrayal. It maintains the unpredictability that defines ARC Raiders while still offering a more accessible experience for those who prefer PvE.
Feature Currently Limited to Chinese Playtests
At the moment, the Security Agreement system is only available in Chinese playtests, where a localized version of ARC Raiders is being introduced. This version includes translated content and potentially adjusted gameplay elements tailored for the region.
The PvE condition is being tested during the ARC Raiders “Light Test,” which marks the beginning of closed beta access for Chinese players. Those participating in the test are already experiencing the feature firsthand, creating a noticeable gap between regional versions of the game.
For global players, this limitation has raised questions about accessibility. PvE gameplay has been one of the most requested features since launch, and its absence in the main version continues to be a point of discussion within the community.
