Nintendo Switch 2 has achieved another sales milestone, with the console reportedly outselling the GameCube in the UK. While exact figures have not been disclosed, the achievement highlights the system’s continued success since its launch.
According to a report, Nintendo Switch 2 is also expected to overtake the Nintendo 64 in the region next. Globally, Nintendo’s latest financial figures place Switch 2 at 19.86 million units sold, just behind the GameCube’s lifetime total of 21.74 million units.
The console has also enjoyed a strong performance in the United States, where it became the second-fastest-selling gaming system in tracked history during its first year, trailing only the Game Boy Advance. With Nintendo set to release updated financial results soon, Switch 2 is widely expected to surpass the GameCube’s worldwide sales total as well.
