The drama begins with an introduction to a tragic event that happened in 1998. Rauf Cinar, one of the leading and well-known economics professor’s wives, was stabbed by a burglar, who was later revealed to be Necip Talan. However, this one tragic incident led the lives of two families to completely change in one night.
Rauf Cinar’s only daughter, Zeynep Cinar, is devasted over the loss of her mother. She suffered from the trauma, and therefore, her father sent her off to a foreign for further studies so that she could get better mentally, too.
Kara believes it is his duty to steal from those who steal from him, his everything, his happiness, and his wealth. He would donate all his stolen items and money to orphanages and other children suffering just like him.
After almost twenty years, Zeynep is done with her studies and returns to Istanbul. She had the same hobby as her mother, looking after plants and nature. She came back to shoot documentaries for her project. However, the first person she bumps into after arriving is none other than Kara.
Both have one thing in common: that tragic night which changed their life. However, both are unaware of each other’s real identities. Their miseries bring them together all the time, and in no time, they start having feelings for each other. But after Zeynep discovers the truth, what will she choose, love or revenge? And how will Kara figure out what happened that night?
