Ao Ashi Episode 11 Recap
The episode starts with coaches talking with a few of the team members and how their behavior has been the past week. We then see Ootomo, Tachibana, and Aoi talking about Asari. They discuss how Asari has been unhappy since Aoi was picked in the starting eleven instead of him. Aoi remembers a flashback where his coach asked why Kuroda and Asari were not happy with him. If Aoi is able to answer, then only the coach will let him play, otherwise, Aoi won’t be put in the starting line-up for the next three months.
Aoi spots Fukuda nearby who is on the phone. He asks him to put the phone in front so that Aoi can talk to whoever (Hana) Fukuda is talking to. We then see a funny reference to the legendary Hungarian footballer Ferenc Puskas. Aoi shouts at the phone that he starting in his first official match and that’s what to expect from someone who is a reincarnation of Ferenc Puskas. Fukuda asks Aoi how is he feeling. Aoi simply responds by saying that he never have had much to think about a game before but he is determined to win.
Fast-forward to the match, Aoi and his teammates are not playing properly and because of a silly mistake, they concede a goal. It is then revealed that after thirty-five minutes, they are 3-0 down. At half-time, everyone in the locker room is dejected and angry. Meanwhile, Aoi is also reflecting on his performance in the first half. The captain asks the coach to substitute some players in the second half. Especially Aoi, Kuroda, and Asari since they all have not done much at the left flank in the first half. The coach decides to bring in Togashi and everyone starts arguing. Just then Aoi says that even though they are not playing well, everyone doing their best.

The Second Half
When Aoi is going towards the pitch, Kuroda goes by him and thanks to him. The captain comes and asks them to sort out the misunderstanding and start playing well. Aoi then realizes that he, Asari, and Kuroda are playing at the same line which might be the reason they cannot perform well. Aoi realizes his mistakes and the coach decides to give them five more minutes to observe and do something. He finally manages to link up with Asari and Kuroda and delivers a good through ball but it is in vain. They create a good play later on and Aoi has a chance to score but instead passes the ball to Asari and assists him for a goal.
With Aoi, Asari, and Kuroda starting to play together well, they manage to score another goal. The episode ends with Asari coming toward Aoi and giving him a high-five as Aoi was the one who told Asari to pass the ball to Kuroda who scored the goal.
