American Idol Season 21 Episode 2’s release date is here. The show’s fans are excited to know what is coming up next on the show, and here we are with every detail, such as American Idol Season 21 Episode 2’s release date and streaming guide. Let’s recap the debut episode before moving on to the next episode’s details.
We met Megan Danielle, a 20-year-old singer from Douglasville, Georgia, started her musical career with a bar gig band a few decades ago. However, she started listening to worship music on her grandfather’s recommendation.
Ryan prepared a surprise for Megan when she performed Lauren Daigle’s song “You Say” for her audition. We saw that L-Rich performed a rap for the judges while Katey and Katy dueted on the song “Someone to Love.” Although none succeeded, they made Katy, Lionel, and Luke laugh.
Contestant Kya Monee from Season 19 of American Idol returned to perform in memory of her close friend, Willie Spence, who passed away in October. Willie inspired her to try out again, and even though he could not be there with her, she performed the song he recommended for her: “I’m Here” from The Color Purple.

A quick recap
She persevered through an emotional performance that earned the judge’s applause. A second opportunity is being given to Kya in Hollywood. 16-year-old Clarksville resident Haven Madison appeared in the tryout with her dad playing guitar.

With her dad, the main singer of a Christian band, Haven developed a love of music early on. Her original song, “Fifteen,” completely swept the judges away, and her dad’s feelings of pride during the performance of the song brought him to tears.
Lionel and Katy praised Haven’s performance as “amazing,” adding that she was “on another plane.” Haven was sent to Hollywood thanks to two yes votes from Katy and Luke and an “amen, yeah” from Lionel. As soon as Lucy Love, 28, of Holly Grove, Arkansas, entered the audition room, she was prepared.
Marvin Gaye’s “Heard It Through the Grapevine” was the first song she sang, and she channeled soulful feelings while injecting personality with hand gestures. Lucy sang “A Song For You” by Donnie Hathaway and dedicated it to her two children, as Lionel asked her to do without the “comedy act.”
This time, she moved Katy to tears and got applause from Lionel. Lucy was compared to “Mary J. Blige on fire” by Katy. Luke acknowledged that he initially dismissed her but afterward changed his mind and voted for her and the other panelists.

A few months after the passing of his father, who had instilled in him a passion for music, Tongi, an 18-year-old native of Kahuku, Hawaii, who now resides in Seattle, also gave an American Idol audition. He started to cry just before starting to sing, but it didn’t hinder Iam’s lovely voice.
Luke and Lionel were moved to tears by Iam’s performance of James Blunt’s “Monsters,” which was a tribute to his father. Everybody who has experienced grief may identify with the way he sang it. I am, of course, traveling to Hollywood.
Colin Stough, an 18-year-old vocalist from Gattman, Mississippi, quickly brought to mind Noah Thompson, the Season 20 winner of American Idol. His mother registered him for American Idol even though he is a modest country boy who enjoys horses.
Colin performed “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd with an acoustic guitar. Luke pumped his fists and grinned from ear to ear at Colin’s country accent. Colin was told he had “magic” in him. We anticipate Colin will be this season’s cowboy star in America because he is moving to Hollywood.
Tyson Venegas, 17, from Vancouver, Canada, did grow up with his parents’ musical inspirations. He gave a piano performance of Billy Joel’s “Nyc State of Mind.” The judges gave him a platinum ticket as a special gift because of his buttery vocals. He can skip the opening of a round of Hollywood Week thanks to this special ticket.
