Amanda Batula, known for her role on Summer House, recently shared how the build-up to a new season brings anxiety. While her husband, Kyle Cooke, often embraces the summer fun, Amanda admits that the time leading up to the premiere is filled with nervous anticipation.
During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Amanda revealed that the period between the teaser and the actual premiere is when she feels the most stressed. “I feel like this lull… is probably when I have the most anxiety,” she explained. “You just start thinking about everything that’s gonna air.”
Though Amanda finds it “exciting” for fans to get a sneak peek into the upcoming season, she also confessed that the official trailer release heightens her nerves. “I’m glad that it happens over the holidays,” she said, noting that the distractions of the festive season help alleviate some of the pressure. Despite the great memories from filming, Amanda is always left wondering what moments will be shown.
The Summer House season 9 trailer, which debuted on December 18, revealed plenty of drama. Pregnant Lindsay Hubbard accused her ex-fiancé, Carl Radke, of cheating during their engagement. Paige DeSorbo was seen crying over the possibility of breaking up with Craig Conover, while Ciara Miller expressed negative feelings toward him.
While Amanda wasn’t involved in the central conflicts, her husband Kyle found himself in a confrontation with her best friend, Paige. “The only reason I came here tonight was so that someone kept his wife company while he pretended to be Diplo,” Paige quipped about Kyle in the trailer.
In contrast to Amanda’s nerves, Kyle revealed that he doesn’t feel the same anxiety before the show airs. “It feels like a lifetime ago,” Kyle said about the filming, recalling how he couldn’t even remember what he was doing on specific days, like July 4th weekend.
Amanda, however, admitted that it’s “hard” for her to wait and see which moments make it into the final cut. Watching the show back brings a unique experience as she has a different perspective than she did when filming. “Do you remember everything you said or did when you had a few cocktails? You know, it’s a little hazy,” she joked.
Watching the show unfold after it’s been filmed is a surreal experience for Amanda. With so much having happened since filming wrapped, she watches with the knowledge of what came next, which gives her a new perspective on the events.
In addition to the emotional rollercoaster of the show, Amanda enjoys the practical convenience of Amazon’s Buy With Prime feature. The service allows her to get vacation essentials and costumes shipped directly to the Hamptons with ease.
Amanda highlighted how Amazon’s Buy With Prime feature is an essential part of her summer routine. “Have you seen the boxes that stack up on our porch? We’re constantly using Buy With Prime,” she explained. From last-minute items to vacation must-haves, it offers a seamless shopping experience. Amanda shared that the majority of Kyle’s costumes and nearly all of her outfits for the season came from Amazon.
As for their co-star Ciara, Amanda noted that she often has her packages shipped directly to the Hamptons instead of her apartment. “There’s constantly personal boxes there for her,” Amanda added.
In a place like the Hamptons, where delivery times can be longer, Amanda emphasized the value of Buy With Prime, which curates favorite shopping sites and offers quicker delivery, making it the perfect solution for their busy, on-the-go lifestyle.
