Alexis Bledel, or Rory Gilmore as we might know her, was born September 16, 1981, and is an American actress and model. She is definitely recognized for her role as Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls, but she also has a commendable feature as Emily Malek in The Handmaid’s Tale.

Us Weekly reported last August that the former Mad Men co-stars had divorced after eight years of marriage, with Kartheiser filing for divorce. There was already a submission for a proposed judgment and settlement less than one week later.
According to court records obtained by Us, Kartheiser, 43, and Bledel, 40, divorced on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. The verdict was handed down on Monday, August 29, 2022. Us confirmed one week later that a proposed judgment and settlement in the divorce case had already been submitted.

After meeting on the set of Mad Men in 2012, the former couple began dating a year before Kartheiser played Pete Campbell, and Bledel played Campbell’s mistress Beth Dawes in season 5 of the show. Later that year, Kartheiser made a quip about his friendship with the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star. The duo was seen kissing shortly after Bledel’s appearance on the show in 2012.
Bledel’s publicist revealed in March 2013 that she and Kartheiser had recently become engaged. The actress revealed a little information about their wedding preparations the following month during the Los Angeles premiere of her TV film, Remember Sunday.

Bledel and Kartheiser quietly added a boy child to their family in 2015. Scott Patterson, the actress’ former Gilmore Girls co-star, later revealed the couple’s exciting news.
“Bledel has really bloomed as a woman, and she is now a proud mom, married and happy,” the 63-year-old said to Glamour in 2016. She also added that they’ve been comparing notes because her son is just a year and a half older than Bledels’ so she gets the idea of what is coming, and they are having a good time.
The couple’s divorce was first reported by Us Weekly. Kartheiser, according to the journal, filed for divorce with the Putnam County Supreme Court in New York on August 10, 2022. This followed Bledel’s departure from The Handmaid’s Tale after four seasons.
“She decided she had to step aside from The Handmaid’s Tale at this time, After considerable consideration,” the actor stated in a Variety statement in May 2022, adding her gratitude to Bruce Miller for the way he portrayed her character with such honest and resonant sequences.
