Traveling to another world full of magic and adventure may be impossible but we can live it through stories and our imagination.
Kage No Jitsuryokusha Ni Naritakute! is a light novel the story of which is by Daisuke Aizawa and the illustrations are done by Tozai. It is the story of a boy who strived to be the strongest but he died before he could fulfill his desire only to wake up in another world where he was bestowed with powers making him a force to be reckoned with.
Before we dive into the release date of the upcoming chapter, here is a short synopsis of Kage No Jitsuryokusha Ni Naritakute. Minoru Kagenou is a boy who lives in Japan. He had an obsession with becoming the strongest and wanted to draw power from the shadows.
To achieve his cherished dream, Minoru trains excruciatingly hard, day in and day out. But even though he wants to become the most powerful person, he did not want everyone’s attention on him so he always tries to blend in with the crowd. So he is a normal high schooler by day but fights evil by night.
Everything was going well until one day, Minoru was involved in a fatal truck accident. During his last moments, he grieved about not being able to fulfill his dreams because no matter how hard he trained, his physical limitations got the better of him. However, Minoru only dies in his world. He wakes up as Cid Kagenou in another world full of magic and magic users.
He also realizes that he is bestowed with an immense amount of power in this new world. To live his best life he forms a guild known as the “Shadow Garden” and makes up a fictional enemy in his head called the Cult of Diablos. Little did he know just how real his imaginary enemy was.

Kage No Jitsuryokusha Ni Naritakute! Chapter 49 Recap
The chapter starts with Akane deciding to go explore the building on her own. But her friends did not agree to leave her side so they went together. The building was abandoned but the smell of blood was fresh in the air. Suddenly they came across the source of the stench.
A long corridor was filled with blood and the corpses of hundreds of beasts. They were shocked and decided to investigate further. Akane noticed that the beasts were cut clean in half with a single blow so she assumed the cuts were made by extremely sharp claws or fangs.
She concluded that it was the work of an Apex, whose strength stands out even among beasts. Suddenly Akane’s friend called out from another place. He had found a couple of humans lying amid the devastation and they were still alive. They noticed that the girl had beautiful silver hair and long ears- signs that she is an awakener like Akane.
The trio took the two injured people with them so that they can treat them. Back at the facility, Yuuka sensei informed Akane that the two refugees have woken up. Akane introduced herself as a knight of Messiah, a group that fights the beasts.
Yuuki sensei informed them that the boy’s memories are a bit jumbled but he introduced himself as Minoru. Akane asked Minoru if he knew anything about the girl he was with. He worriedly asked how she was and told them that her name was Natsume and that she was his sister.
Akane’s brother tells them that he will be the one who will be taking care of the refugees. Once outside the room, Akane asked what her brother was planning to do with them. Back in the room, Minoru tells Beta to wake up as the others have gone. They had successfully contacted and infiltrated the ranks of the locals.
As Minoru was taking a walk outside, he noticed that he was back in his old world and that Japan was in shambles and wondered about the cause of it. Akane joins him outside and he asks her what happened to Japan. Akane gets ready to tell him the story.
